Dont try to fix the problem right now Often our first instinct is wanting to fix the persons problems. It hurts to see others in pain, and we can feel awkward or helpless not knowing how to help. But you dont have to have all of the answers Encourage them to seek help from you Ask: How can I help? "Is there something I can do for you right now?" 14.01.2022 Instead of being angry about what has transpired today, put that energy to good use. On Sunday, take a walk to your local cafe for a coffee and cake, buy some...thing to take home too. When you walk past your local bakery stop by, give them a wave and buy some bread and goodies for your lunch boxes next week, treat yourself to a bunch of flowers from your local florist, make a booking for dinner next week at your local restaurant or pub, book a haircut, a mani or a pedi. Or even better, pay it forward and treat someone else. Let's put this energy to good use and support all of the local businesses that have suffered over the past few days. Leave the big boys alone - the supermarkets have enjoyed a double Christmas this year with everyone rushing in to panic buy this week. Look after the little guy. Support small business. 13.01.2022 Anxiety and the teenage self Recently when posting in regards to paying forward a piece of artwork many, and I mean many mums had enquired about the p...otential of gaining this piece to help support their daughters who are experiencing challenging times and high levels of anxiety. There is most definitely an energetic commonality with the younger generation and add to that the challenges of Covid and the changes that have taken place this year, there is certainly a fragility that needs to be nurtured. I have been asked several times what therapies I may have that could assist so I thought I would share what I do and if you feel it could help support either yourself or your daughter or even others you know then please be sure to give me a call or make a time to sit and share a cuppa to see if I would be the right fit before booking in a consult. Firstly, the mums and all the other support networks need to be congratulated and honoured for their dedication and commitment that they put into their families, not just supporting the child in focus but for all who surround them in an attempt to keep balance in their world. ( I say mums because its mums who seek me, it is most certainly not to overlook the roles and support that others provide, I know support is always a team effort ) As for what I do and how I may be able to be a piece in their jigsaw puzzle of life we will work together to help understand anxiety, to appreciate the sign anxiety has in our body and learn how to react when anxiety says hi. How I do this is to identify where our body system absorbs the most attention, I look at the Chakra System in a non invasive way, connect that with our Colour energy and from that we can learn where most energy is stored, either we are physical or emotional. It is a simple technique that invokes curiosity, it is not invasive and is designed to relax and open up an avenue to extract conversation. This is done more Holistically than Spiritually with teenagers or children. With adults the intuition and Spirituality element may flow in. This process gains trust and the real healing comes from the communication that follows the identification as the communication is based relevant to the individual and their needs. If the client is visual then we can use tools to support communication extraction through cards, drawing or creative exercises. If the client prefers to listen then I am skilled at reading their body language to interpret what captures their attention and what doesnt. They will be given age relevant information on how to manage their symptoms and encouraged to open communication with those they trust. When clients come with anxiety they leave with a more relaxed body and a smile that calms their inner chaos. You can be assured your child is in safe hands and if they do not wish to participate on their own then a support person is most certainly encouraged to be in the session with them. The exchange is school age children are $60 per hour ( $30 half hour ) Adults are $80 per hour ( $50 half hour ) Please contact me on 0422909417 if you have any questions or wish to know more. As mentioned before if you wish to make a FREE 15 minute consultation to introduce yourself or your child to me or to see the space I operate from you are most welcome. Continue to support the ones who need it but be reminded to support yourself too. Sometimes adults can do a session for themself first and learn the tools to continue the support of their child.
