My journey has been a long one, a hard one. There’s been so much pain, struggle, hopelessness, blood and tears in between these pictures. I’ve fought through many, many, many days & nights to get here. I’ve experienced freedom and then had that freedom be taken away, again and again.... I can’t even count the many ups & downs I’ve been through. I haven’t reached the finish line yet. This journey still somedays feel never ending. I’ve been healing from 100+ symptoms and still have some left. There are days I ask myself how many more years of this. And my words for as long as it takes, Anna echoes in my head. So today I acknowledge how far I’ve come. I remind myself of where I used to be. To be proud of my strength, my resilience, my determination. To celebrate my life and the gift of healing. I get to feel the wind in my hair. Pain free. I get to close my eyes and feel the sun. Itch free. My body gets to relax because it’s not in constant pain. I get to dance, sweat and move my body. I get to laugh with my friends. Hug the people I love. My skin gets to be touched. No matter how many times life, my health, my symptoms have knocked me down I’ve always kept going. And I always will. I made a promise to myself to do whatever it takes, for as long as it takes. Because one day I’ll be symptom free. Even from the stubborn symptoms still lingering. They will heal too. Someday I will experience vibrant health. And it is and will all be worth it. Committing to this path and never give up on it, on myself, is the best decision of my life and I’m so grateful to know that there is freedom. For all of us. Even if it takes years, there will be freedom. Things will get better. Thank you for being here. For witnessing my journey. It’s been so healing for me to be seen and heard in it. You’ve carried me many times when I’ve lost hope, cheered me on and I can’t thank you enough.
