25.01.2022 Despite smaller population numbers, rural road fatalities make up two thirds of the annual death count and sadly 109 lives have already been lost on rural New South Wales roads this year. As a powerful reminder of the fatal consequences when taking risks behind the wheel, the Australian Road Safety Foundation laid out 835 hats in memory of every life lost on regional roads last year to launch Rural Road Safety Month. Whether you are city or regional based, take ownership of ...your role in reducing the rural road toll by taking the pledge to #ChooseRoadSafety today by visiting www.arsf.com.au #KeepingSafe #roadsafety #onedecision #notworththerisk #savinglives #BlueDatto #RuralRoadSafetyMonth See more

23.01.2022 It's National Road Safety Week this week and we started the week perfectly by presenting our #KeepingSafe program to the 280 students in Year 11 at Bonnyrigg High School. Thank you for having us and for being so attentive during our program!

22.01.2022 This is the heartbreaking story of Philip Vassallo, the Kid in the Blue Datto, who inspires the work of the Blue Datto Foundation. Unfortunately, Phil is just one of more than 2,500 young Australians who have died on our roads in the last 10 years with more than 2,500 families left to grieve their loss every single day. YOU can help Blue Datto save young lives by donating to our #1000YoungDrivers campaign. ... Just $20 will help us EDUCATE and EMPOWER a vulnerable young person so that other families can be spared this unimaginable and never-ending pain. Please Donate: https://www.bluedatto.org.au/appeal/1000youngdrivers

20.01.2022 A sneak peak at behind the scenes on some exciting new content for our Keeping Safe program! We can't wait to share this with our upcoming schools #KeepingSafe #BlueDatto #roadsafety

19.01.2022 Last year the Wyong Rugby League Club Group generously supplied funding for us to deliver our Keeping Safe program to the region. With thanks to this sponsorship, we were able to educate and empower local youth on making safer choices as drivers and passengers. Now that COVID restrictions are easing and clubs are again open, we now encourage our community to #SupportOurSupporters as they get back to business. With 8 venues in the WRLCG, we know there is the perfect location for your weekend catch up. Head to their website to plan your visit. They look forward to welcoming you. #thankyou #community #KeepingSafe https://wyongleaguesgroup.com.au/

16.01.2022 According to the Australian Road Safety Foundation, one quarter of New South Wales drivers (23%) admit to taking road risks since the implementation of COVID-19 lock downs. A frightening statistic, likely driven by the fact that more than two thirds of the states drivers (69%) believe the roads are safer under current conditions. There should never be an excuse to take risks on or around our roads. Sadly, many New South Wales drivers still do and the complacency of fewer cars on the road during coronavirus is driving more dangerous behaviour. In the lead up to Fatality Free Friday on 29th May, we urge all road users to take the pledge to #ChooseRoadSafety. Visit arsf.com.au/take-the-pledge-fff/ to demonstrate your commitment to reducing the road toll. #KeepingSafe

You can upload an image for the artwork until May 15 and make your pledge by visiting https://arsf.com.au/supporting-road-safety Blue Datto encourages you to join us in making a pledge together we can make a difference and continue to share the #KeepingSafe message.

05.01.2022 Figures released from the Australian Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics have reported a 41.5% drop in road fatalities in NSW during March this year compared to the same period last year. Due to the restrictions currently in place, the decrease isnt all that surprising however, according to Professor Max Cameron from Monash University Accident Research Centre, who told The Age less congested roads present an opportunity for higher speeds, meaning the accidents that do occur are likely to be more serious. If you must be on the roads, ensure that you keeping to the speed limits and continue the decrease in fatalities #KeepingSafe https://www.whichcar.com.au//coronavirus-lockdown-australi
