25.01.2022 Good evening everyone! Very sorry for the late notice, but we will only be open from 11-2 tomorrow. We are trying to fine tune some of our equipment in the lead up to Summer. Sincerely sorry for any inconvenience and hope to see you next weekend!

25.01.2022 Well, we are still afloat and will open tomorrow. The Boat House was hit with everything in the flood but came though with shining colours! A couple of adjustments and were are back on deck tomorrow from 11am. Keep posted for opening hours for the next couple of months. We will update you soon!

19.01.2022 Hi All! How great is this rainfall in the Valley? Just to let you all know that after a frenetic January, we will be returning to 5 day a week trading next week (open Wednesday-Sunday). We will still be open on public holidays (including the Regatta Day holiday on Monday 8 February) so if you are in the Valley over the long weekend, it would be great to see you. Pop in for some great Fish & Chips and superb Oomph coffee!

15.01.2022 Need to cool down and relax? We will be open every day until the end of January, so come on down. Bring a blanket and sit outside in the shade on the river bank, while enjoying some Tasmanian caught Blue Eye Trevalla and our great range of local wines and ciders.

15.01.2022 Hi Folks. Just so you know, we have reverted to our Autumn-Winter times which are: Mon-Tues - Closed Wed-Thur - 11-3 Friday-Sat 10.30-7.30... Sun 10.30-7.00. Things a getting a little cooler, so I hope you are starting to store your fire wood (assuming you are lucky enough to be down our way). Cheers Boat House

We are open Good Friday with a fantastic selection of Tassie fish: Blue-eye Trevalla, scrumptious Gummy Shark, Stripey Trumpeter & everyone's fav Tassie Flathead! Come on down and see us! "YAY", you might say, but the weather is pretty harsh tonight and flood is forecast overnight. Please give us a call to check on tomorrow's status tomorrow before venturing in. 12.01.2022 Just a note to let everyone know that the Boat House Cafe has commenced its winter closure. We will be closed from Wednesday 1 June and re-open on Friday 15 July. Our staff have worked tirelessly over the 'long summer' and are looking forward to a well-earned break. We would also like to extend a big thank you to one of our key staff members, Sarah who has been a fantastic member of our team, stepping into the breach as we headed into a busy spring season! She has been simpl...y wonderful. Sarah will be heading overseas during the break (and won't be returning to the Cafe) and we all wish her every success. Thanks to all of our staff ... Carol, Michael, David, Amber, Sarah & Nat. Enjoy your break!! We will be in touch again, closer to when we re-open. Until then, stay warm everyone and we hope to see you again when we re-open.

09.01.2022 Our fresh sushi rolls made this morning all sold out within an hour of us opening, so we are now making some more for our customers tonight. Drop by to pick some up on your way home, or dine in on the river on this stunning Autumn evening.

07.01.2022 Just reminding everyone that the Boat House is currently open from Friday - Sunday from 10:30 - 7pm. Fresh Tassie fish we are getting this week is Pink Ling, Tassie Blue-Eye Trevalla and Flathead! Fresh Tassie scallops are in season now too! If you haven't ever tried Ling ... it is one of the most succulent, amazing fish you will ever experience on your taste buds, we rarely have it! ... 04.01.2022 Hi Y'all. We will be open Friday-Sunday for the next few weeks from 11-7. Wednesday lunches will follow as the weather improves. Hope you are all staying warm and your belongings have not been frozen or blown/washed away!

04.01.2022 Hi Everyone! We might try dabbling in a little sushi (albeit a limited variety) this weekend. We know you shouldn't dabble in such an exotic and specialised cuisinebut we think we know what tastes right cause one of us has lived in Japan for over 3 years, and is very fussy with this type of thing. We have been making it for ourselves and it's fresh and seems to be very much on the mark!! If you don't eat it, I am sure we can manage! ... BTW we will be closed Xmas Day but after that it will be open every day throughout the first part of January..wowsers! Opening hours will extend through Summer! Please keep an eye on this page!
