11.01.2022 We were never really ones for a story, so glad @melbournemojoeats was able to tell it for us Bombay Masala Toast ... if you are from Mumbai, India, I won't write any further. For us folks from the bollywood town, this Toast is an emotion. And I am sure everyone has their own local bhaiyya(hawker) favourite that doesn't compare to any other. Now cmon stop those drools. ... For those who aren't sure what I am on about, please do me a favour and hit up @bombay_press and let them indulge you in the most fulfilling, flavour popping, crispiest, satisfying flavoursome sandwich toast. This dynamic duo who work full-time by the week and then bring these culinary delights during the weekend share my sentiment and want all of Melbourne to taste a piece of their home. And out came this place Bombay Press, that runs out of a commercial kitchen in South Melbourne flipping these finger lickin turnt up Mumbai style toasties. Super Passionate about sharing their stories of what this goodness of a toast means to them, with elements curated directly from the streets of Mumbai's Breach Candy (suburb in Mumbai), Karan and Rahul have successfully created what I would term as the most authentic tasting Masala Toast you could get on this side of pacifica... that indeed took me straight back home too. Boys, that coriander mint chutney, that tangy spiciness from your signature masala, that beautiful potato smash, and the crispy butter on top of the bread was just pure perfection. And to finish it off, there's no better way than downing a cutting masala chai. Once again, it was pure perfection in a cup. Featured on here: PICNIC PACK that has: Snowman (Bombay Masala Toast) OG double-decker toastie filled with potato, onion, capisicum, tomato & cheese, spiced with signature masala and chutney. Paneer (Cottage Cheese) Double-decker toastie with paneer, onion, capsicum, tomato & cheese, spiced with signature masala and chutney. Masala Chai Hot and Brewed sweet milk tea with freshly ground 5 spice masala mix. #mojolevel 5/5

02.01.2022 The one and only. Our trips to Mumbai were never considered complete until we stopped for Bombay Sandwiches at Breach Candy. This shop, and many like it nestled throughout Mumbai are the origins of Bombay Press. Thanks to @teetertother for the wonderful shot! #mumbaitomelbourne #bombaypress #rightplace #southmelbourne #goldenbrownanddelicious #sandwichwalla
