25.01.2022 This week’s #podcast is with the profound Cameron Schwab, former CEO of the Richmond Football Club. He had to face first hand that question, What does winning look like when you’re not winning? Tune in Thursday, 12NN AEST. #leadership #peoplestuff #authenticity

25.01.2022 As leaders, one of our responsibilities is to uplift others. Many of us feel the pressure to be ‘inspiring’. To be the leader others want to follow. To be the leader everyone admires and respects. The impostor syndrome often kicks in at this point. Who am I to be inspiring? We don’t need to crawl up Mount Everest wearing a blindfold and carrying a camel to be inspiring. Here are three secrets to being inspiring. #leadership #peoplestuff #inspiration https://www.zoerouth.com/news/inspiring

25.01.2022 Book nerds, get your geek on! I was interviewed by the fabulous Alison Jones on her podcast, The Extraordinary Business Book Club. We talk all things BOOKS, like how I came up with the title "People Stuff" (spoiler alert - I didn't - it was Matt Church and his genius ability to channel the right message), what my writing habits are, my tips for new writers, including how to use peak performance flow states for better writing.... I LOVED this interview! Hope you do too! http://extraordinarybusinessbooks.com/episode-237-people-s/

25.01.2022 If you’re a football player, and your team is nowhere close to winning, how do you define success? It’s easy to get demoralised when all we’ve got is one end point. We need more than one measure of success. Here’s a couple of ways to redefine it in a useful way. http://ow.ly/4UPg50Bkkep #leadership #peoplestuff #culture

25.01.2022 Some people have extraordinary stories. A life deep and rich with complex interactions that have been humbling and profound. My podcast guest this week is Cameron Schwab. In the meantime, are there lessons you've had that were deep and rich? How did you make sense of them? What did you learn?... #peolestuff #leadership #ceo

19.01.2022 In my Amplifiers group, a high level leadership program for purpose-driven leaders, we are focused on ‘Project You’ this quarter. We are intent on raising the bar for our own personal leadership in all dimensions: physical, spiritual, mental, emotional. One of the core strategies is to develop a personal leadership manifesto. 18.01.2022 Are you a Hoarder or a Maverick? Do you need lots of reserves of time, money, energy in order to feel safe? Or do you prefer bootstrapping and winging it? Both have huge pitfalls. Building slack in the system is a smart move: just enough to keep us feeling safe, not too much that we get complacent. #leadership #peoplestuff #performance http://ow.ly/Cn3E50BqJyR

17.01.2022 One of my favourite speakers, Rachael Robertson CSP came on the podcast. Here is a sneak preview of our awesome conversation, coming out tomorrow. 14.01.2022 ! In this sneak preview of tomorrow's podcast episode 12 noon AEST, CEO of Karralika, Sharon Tuffin, shares her insights about how one of her 'flaws' was really a superpower. Being structured and process-driven can help in creative endeavours, not hinder it.... One of my flaws I've revamped as a strength is being 'emotional'. I used to be a huge Drama Queen! That flaw is now what I harness as 'sensitive'. What is one of your flaws-turned-superpower?

14.01.2022 I am super duper thrilled about this week’s podcast guest: former U.S. Navy SEAL, Chris Sajnog. 13.01.2022 Dr Audrey Tang is a pocket rocket of energy and insight! Her podcast interview with me comes out this Thursday. One of the things she said was 'you're only a leader if you have followers'. Sounds obvious.... Is it true? Do you need followers in order to 'be' a leader? I am not so sure. Perhaps we can 'be' leaders in how we show up. In our values. In how we care for others. If we 'do' leadership, then this is a whole other story. Leadership is an action: it is where we come together to create a better future. In doing leadership - do we need followers? Or co-creators? Or an audience of some sort? Doing leadership is not a solo activity, that I agree with Dr Tang. What do you think - what is the nature of the relationship between the leader and others? Does it matter? #peoplestuff #leadership #power

In this interview, we look at other leadership traps and how to avoid them. Why you should listen: Why leadership is never lonely if y...ou focus on supporting others to act How managing your energy bucket is a core responsibility of leadership and we need to stop making excuses for avoiding it How getting obsessed with technology and strategy can be a huge mistake #leadership #peoplestuff #teams https://www.zoerouth.com/podcast/mattlinnegar
