20.01.2022 The winter weather is fading away and spring is here to stay! Why not try a refreshing Pimms cocktail with your guests this weekend? INGREDIENTS... 4 cups ice cubes 1 lemon, cut into thin slices 160ml Pimms No. 1 125ml lemonade, chilled 125ml ginger ale, chilled 1/2 Lebanese cucumber, cut into thin strips (Strawberries and oranges are also great additions!) METHOD 1. Place 1/2 the ice into a 1-litre capacity jug. Add lemon slices. Pour in Pimms, followed by lemonade and ginger ale. Stir with a swizzle stick to combine. 2. Divide remaining ice among four tall glasses. Place a piece of cucumber in each glass then fill with cocktail. Serve. Have a safe and enjoyable weekend!

13.01.2022 Good morning to all our extremely patient customers, We are still operating with restrictions in place, only allowing two people in the shop at any one time. This will be the same when kegging and bottling, so there maybe some short waiting periods with appointments that have been booked. The stock has still not arrived unfortunately, but is due anyday now. We are extremely thankful to be still operating and we could not do this without the awesome support and patience we have received from everyone. 07.01.2022 Well, what a wild ride we have all had over the last few months. Now that things have settled, all of us at Brewers Delight would like to thank all our customers for your support and understanding as stock became in short supply. Much to the relief of us all we were able to remain open. Your patience and cooperation with distancing advice contributed towards us being able to continue to function. Again thank you!! The new phrase wash hands responsibly now stands beside drink responsibly. That should not stop fun being had as our social life returns. As the saying goes, Let the good times roll.

Ingredients... 45ml Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum 45ml Butterscotch Schnapps 90ml hot chocolate Dash of orange bitters Method Add equal parts liquor to hot chocolate, top with whipped cream, shaved chocolate, and garnish with a cinnamon stick or candy cane. 04.01.2022 FROZEN STRAWBERRY DAIQUIRI! INGREDIENTS 500g strawberries, hulled 200g ice... 100ml rum juice lime GARNISH 1 strawberry, halved 2 slices of limes 2 cocktail sticks METHOD 1. Blend the strawberries then push the resulting puree through a sieve to remove some of the seeds. Tip the sieved puree into the blender again and add the ice, rum and lime juice. Blend again and divide the mixture between 2 Martini glasses. 2. Thread the lime slices and strawberry halves onto the cocktail sticks and place onto the edge of the glass, serve immediately.

02.01.2022 Has your working week sent you NUTTY?! This is the shooter for you! THE NUTTY IRISHMAN 22ml Hazelnut Liqueur (Frangelico)... 22ml Irish Cream 1. Gather ingredients 2. Pour Frangelico into a shot glass 3. Float the Irish cream on top by slowly pouring it over a bar spoon 4. Serve and ENJOY! Have a great weekend!

01.01.2022 Say goodbye to the working week and hello to the weekend! Why not make this Rhubarb Gin while the winter weather is keeping you indoors? Ingredients... 1kg pink rhubarb stalks 400g caster sugar (dont use golden - it muddies the colour) 800ml gin Method 1. Wash the rhubarb, trim the stalks and discard the base and any leaves. Cut the stalks into 3cm lengths. Put in a large jar with the sugar. Shake everything around, put the lid on and leave overnight. The sugar will draw the juice out of the rhubarb. 2. After 24 hrs, add the gin, seal and shake everything around. Leave for about 4 weeks before drinking. You can strain the liquor off through a muslin-lined sieve and transfer to a bottle, but I often just leave the rhubarb and booze in the jar and ladle it into drinks that way. Over time the rhubarb and the gin go a much paler colour this doesnt look as dramatic. The upside is you that have to get through it fairly quickly! Note: Use seasonal rhubarb to make a G&T with a difference, or top with soda water for a refreshing summertime drink in glorious pink. Stay warm this weekend! Cheers
