21.01.2022 Hey mates, we’ll be back open tomorrow for takeaway. We’ll be here each weekend from Friday through Sunday, as well every Wednesday to help you get through the week! For now we’ll be serving our regular menu of coffees, sangas and sweets along with take-home pantry goodies, but will be expanding our offerings as we find our feet in this new model. 11.01.2022 Hi mates, we’re so relieved and grateful to be able to open up our doors to you again. We’ll be back up and running from 9AM tomorrow. Today is a vital day in the fight to end systemic racism and oppression of First Nations people in this country, so while we won’t be able to attend the Blak/Black Lives Matter rally in Melbourne in person (we are committed as a business to following strict COVID-19 guidelines), we will be participating online and donating to Change the Reco...rd and Pay the Rent (monthly). We encourage everyone to engage with what’s happening this afternoon however you can, whether by protesting, having hard conversations with family & friends, or by donating the money you might have spent on a coffee or toastie today to one of the Black/Indigenous organisations listed via our bio instead. Today we amplify black voices, listen to and learn from them, acknowledge this country’s racist history and fight to enact change. And tomorrow and every day after we do the same. 07.01.2022 Hello! Just a quick PSA that we will unfortunately be closed for a few days. Over the past 24 hours we’ve both developed minor sore throats, and while we’re sure that it’s nothing serious at all, we got the COVID-19 test this morning as a precaution. Obviously this means that we’ll be self-isolating at home until we get the all-clear, which we’re told will take 3-5 days. We would way rather be in the shop making coffees and sangas for you guys, but we are taking every possi...ble measure to make sure that Bricktown is a safe space to visit, in all ways! It’s totally reasonable to assume that we’re staying home because the cats lost and Tayla needs some time to process, but really we’ve just both picked up some very minor cold symptoms thanks to a certain snotty-nosed niece who will not be named.
