24.01.2022 A working bee/catch up is planned for Saturday 26/9/20 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. It will be good to catch up following the break for winter/Covid. The garden beds are already alive from the seedlings recently donated and some self sown seeds.... Thank you to the anonymous person who discovered the mystery garden bed is baby carrots. - Mark

15.01.2022 Couldn't agree more!

15.01.2022 We now have mystery garden bed. One garden bed was refreshed with cow manure in autumn, that bed also had some carrot plants that went to seed. I’m not really sure what is now growing!? It now looks like this - Mark

15.01.2022 Random gardening tip: looking for something good to feed your plants? Next time you're cooking, try simmering your veggie scraps in water for an hour. This makes great fertiliser!

14.01.2022 This guy has some great insights...

10.01.2022 If you haven't heard of the Adelaide Himeji garden, this is an amazing little hidden secret. Well worth a quick visit! https://living.cityofadelaide.com.au/secrets-of-adelaide-h/

09.01.2022 There is a short working bee on Saturday 12 December 20, 9:30 am to 11:30 am. A few plants from winter have gone to seed and the garden could do with a tidying up before a break for Christmas/New Year period. The carrot crop seems to be fading so anyone who likes baby carrots are welcome to help yourself.... -Mark

05.01.2022 Thanks to the helpers at the working bee yesterday. We have been getting ready for Spring by tidying up the beds, and adding some manures & fertiliser. We have kept our giant kale plant that has continued to grow into a monster.... Our big greenhouse has fallen apart just before winter too The plastic between the squares has crumbled leaving square holes. - Mark

05.01.2022 Winter weather is terrible, but winter food is amazing. Nothing compares to a nice creamy pumpkin soup on a cold Adelaide Hills day. There are also some great tips on using winter vegies on the Central Market website: https://adelaidecentralmarket.com.au/in-season-winter/

04.01.2022 There will be a working bee this Saturday, 30/5/20, 10:00 am to 12:00 pm subject to weather conditions. We plan to remove what is left of the summer crops and do some preparation for next Spring. With the impacts of the Corona Virus, we have not put in any winter plantings this year. Hopefully Spring will see the start of many things starting afresh.... -Mark

04.01.2022 Only 20 days until winter is over! We certainly can't wait to be planting some amazing pumpkins like this again

03.01.2022 Thanks to the wonderful person who left seedlings for us in the garden

03.01.2022 Our kale tower sitting tall and proud :o

01.01.2022 There's always something interesting going on that we don't know about in the Hills! Always depends on Covid, of course! https://southaustralia.com/places-t/adelaide-hills/whats-on
