19.01.2022 The final Family Connections meeting will be held at the end of this school term so we have 6 to go. Unfortunately due to numbers we are not able to continue with this service and will be exploring other options for this time slot. SO in the meantime come down and see us at MFYS building King st Campbelltown over the next few weeks.

18.01.2022 Previously I asked for those interested in private music lessons with a focus on children and young people with special needs or behavioural issues. I am now pleased to announce that Brief Therapy Solutions in collaboration with Disability Macarthur KFormerly Macarthur District Temporary Care) will be commencing with this opportunity very shortly. IF INTERESTED in your child learning guitar in an encouraging and musically enthusiastic way I would me to hear from you now.... Lessons will be on Fridays afternoons in Minto between 3:30 and 5pm earlier for those not at school. Half hour individual lessons or Small group ( no more than three) to reduce individual cost This activity is not free but we are trying to keep the costs less than or equipment to those large music schools that may not have the Terence for your child's individuality Call me to make a booking and chat 0412929978 LIMITED PLACES

We are currently offering therapeutic services and behaviour management as well as our music lessons under NDIS funding arrangements where applicable. I also have a limited number of new guitars for hire or use during lessons if required... first in best dressed in this case. 06.01.2022 Virtual Drop In Helping reduce isolation for those already experiencing challenges. I am offering free Virtual Drop In on Wednesday mornings 10:30 to 11:30. We will be using Zoom Videoconferencing. So if not already installed in your device allow a few more minutes to do so before hand.... Just like a IRL Drop in but less travelling. 04.01.2022 Hi All, Brief Therapy Solutions has specialised in working with complex family mental health and behaviour issues for 20 years. We understand that your family challenges do not cease as other global concerns emerge.... In these times of significant public health concerns we are continuing to support families with our therapeutic services. Where possible and where deemed safe we will continue to provide home visits. In addition we have increased our capacity for video and telephone sessions. We will be offering these options to our clients if this assists in decreasing anxiety and continuing service support with what are already significant challenges. Regards Dr Steve Walker

03.01.2022 We are introducing a new programme "Sound Experience" of which we have run several times over 2013. Some fees will apply and time, locations and dates will be subject to demand. This programme allows children and young people to experiment with communication, teamwork, sharing and taking turns among other social skills in a group environment. We have the support of out music and Audio Engineering professional staff to work with the group with one of three variations.... (1) Rhythm and Sound Develop some sounds and rhythms from materials mostly found in your home. Excellent for learning music basics including rhythm, dynamics or volume and time while working in a small group. Have your work recorded. (2) Video and Sound Effects Using a video provided develop a sound track, learn about timing, sounds and recording. Working in a team, produce a video with sound effects and voices. (2) Story Telling and Sound Make up or bring along your own story, record your story, add sound effects and produce a final track of your work. INTERESTED - contact up by email to register your interest or ask your caseworker to enquire.
