24.01.2022 U13’s Grand Final Preview This Sunday our Mighty U13’s will take on the Burpengary Jets in the 2020 Div 3 Grand Final. Its been an amazing year for the u13’s who have accumulated 362 points in their 9 outings, finishing outright second on the ladder, a feat they needed to achieve to qualify to play in this years grand final. ... This weekend they will face the Jets who got the chocolates last time they met 28-16 but the team has come on leaps and bounds since then. Its been some turnaround for the 13’s who had a tough 2019. Pre-Covid it was feared that they might not even have enough players to field a side, but new coach Simon Crabb in just his first season rallied the boys together when restrictions were lifted and the season finally kickstarted just 14 weeks ago. This season we have gone way past our expectations in relation to our season goals We are just looking forward to experiencing what its like to be in a grand final and to have fun with it all, for all our players, familys and supporters he said The team is led by Alastair Hogg (pictured) who began his footy career back in 2013 alongside Jed Ryan (pictured) and Jac Baker with the u’6 Bantams. Taukura Lewis, Archie Maddocks and Alex Martinez joined one season later in the u7’s in 2014 and all will be there alongside their team mates this weekend. The Roosters play the Jets at Les Hughes Sporting Complex, Francis Rd, Bray Park at 9.30am Sunday. Its hoped a massive crowd get out to support the boys in their Red, White and Blue . 23.01.2022 BRL Reserve Grade Preliminary Final Match Preview This saturday our BRL reserve grade will take on Valleys Diehards at Emmerson Park at 1.30pm with the winner moving on to the Grand Final on October 17. Its a credit to coach Riwhi Puru and his chargers for making it to the final four and our club are right behind them as they enter another do or die clash. ... They will take on the minor premiers on their own turf and the Roosters hold no fears after claiming Carina in their own backyard last weekend to knock them out of the competition. Captained by Micheal Winchester the side features a host of roosters juniors including many of our u18’s div 1 premiers of 2018 and some of our open 2’s runners up cross river challenge 2019 as well as colts players from nearby clubs. Wil Dobson, Noah Kira, Thomas Lee Wright, Ash Faulkner Brock Nelson and Cody Bates to name but a few of our Roosters Juniors. Its been a wonderful achievement by all the staff and players and we wish them all the very best of luck on Saturday. Make sure you get out to Emmerson Park Valleys 1.30pm on Saturday to support the lads and go the Mighty Roosters

Ambrose comes to the Mighty Roosters as a lock/ centre with BRL experience with Normanby and South’s Logan Magpies. Good luck for 2021!

16.01.2022 ****Coaching Announcement**** Brighton Roosters JRL would like to announce the inaugural BRL U20s coach Andrew Wynyard. Andrew comes to the mighty Brighton Roosters with a wealth of knowledge and experience playing 40 games with the London Broncos RL in 1999 and 2000 in the English Super League as well as playing 67 matches for our Senior Affiliate Partner Redcliffe Dolphins (Official) winning premierships in 2002 and 2003.... Andrew has previously coached the Redcliffe Dolphins FOGS side in 2009 and 2010, as well Assistant Coach with the Dolphins Intrust Super Cup sides in 2011 and 2012. Andrew then coached the Norths Devils Rugby League Football Club Queensland Cup side in 2013. After taking a step back from coaching to focus on Family life Andrew returned to coach 2019 Hastings Deering Colts as well a junior coaching roles in 2019 and 2020 All of us at the Brighton Roosters would like to congratulate Andrew on his appointment and look forward to the experience and knowledge he brings to our family club. 14.01.2022 Open 2’s Grand Final Preview Well when you think about Roosters Grand Finals , nothing is bigger than a Grand Final against the old enemy, the Aspley Devils. For decades these two proud clubs have battled in finals and its on again this Saturday in the Open 2’s GF at Arana Hills.... The Open 2’s are a dreamteam 30 plus years in the making. The side coached by Faraimo Malaki is a tribute memorial side to Faraimo’s brothers Buddy and Frank who are sadly no longer with us. The siblings had long dreamed of playing together with their famlies and this year with the help of covid 19 and the Brighton Roosters Junior RLFC that dream became a reality. Led by captain Rob Tanielu and Vice Captain Jayden Nickorima the team has surged into the decider after five consecutive victories and this saturday they hope to make it six. The family side made up of 3 dads, 3 sets of brothers, nephews and cousins is just 70 minutes away from glory. Its been an amazing experience coming to Brighton to playout our dream, this club typifies everything it means to us , and thats family My brothers and I spoke as childeren, how good would it be to all play together one day, with our own children and family, playing alongside our sons, brothers and cousins We are truly grateful that Dylan Slater and the Roosters gave us this opportunity to do this, it reminds us what family means to all of us Coach Malaki said The team has its very own specialised commemorative Roosters jersey and shorts paid for by their sponsors Club President Dylan Slater was full of praise for the group. What they have been able to do in forming a collective from far and wide and cross-code is an outstanding effort on their part They show tremendous respect for our Roosters family and have been great for our club, this is what we stand for Family and this shows right accross our club from the bantams through to the seniors Mr Slater said The Roosters defeated Aspley 38-18 way back in round 2 but the Devils haven’t dropped a game since then setting up what should be an epic game of Rugby League. The Roosters take on the Devils at Kev McKell Oval , Arana Hills at 3pm on Saturday. This is one game you do not want to miss. Make sure you get there with your tricolours on supporting our Mighty Roosters.

11.01.2022 In the Final game of 2020 our u13’s Roosters took on the Burpengary Jets in the Grand Final. Sadly it wasnt to be for our young Roosters but we are all super proud of their achievments this season. It was a great day filled with colour and fun and thanks again to the huge contingent of fans who travelled to all the finals last weekend, supporting our boys in the red, white and blue.

09.01.2022 Sadly it wasn’t our day today on the footy field. Our BRL Reserves went down 34-6 to bow out of the competition, whilst our Open 2’s went down 26-14 in the Grand Final. We are all very very proud of all our players, coaches and staff for their efforts in 2020. Congratulations on a tremendous season. Thanks also to all our supporters who travelled to the games today. ...
