25.01.2022 The only way to get where you want to be in life is hard work. It’s as simple as that. You want something then work hard for it, make sacrifices, surround yourself with people who want you too succeed. Don’t let anything get in your way.

24.01.2022 The girls absolutely loving their @powrboxx gloves. These 2 train the house down twice a week every week! Results are really starting to show! Keep it up ladies.

24.01.2022 Working on good posture which creates good balance whilst using the hip to throw the cross.

22.01.2022 Team work makes the dream work!

21.01.2022 Here’s a throw back, I even had some hair. Bracing for a left rip by @bbhaylings. Even when light sparring this guys hands were like bricks.

20.01.2022 Over and over again till we get it right. Then we keep working.

20.01.2022 @jayteezi putting in some solid work tonight.

20.01.2022 I’ll be forever thankful for the two legends standing next to me. @davidbarker_csm @hays_daewoud They have passed on a lot of knowledge to me over the years and have helped me grow into the coach/person I am today. I’m still learning everyday and I will continue to do so, as I said in my previous posts boxing and martial arts is a never ending learning cycle.

19.01.2022 My boy getting ready to do some rounds. 35 years young the grind don’t stop.

19.01.2022 Never a dull moment whilst training these ladies. Tuesday nights have never been so fun.

17.01.2022 It’s hard to beat a person who never gives up! Work in silence and let your success be the noise!

17.01.2022 Me and my left hand man @domhanuman

17.01.2022 Just wanted to say a massive thank you to the team at @germbusters.sanitising for coming in and cleaning our gym top to toe for a big week ahead!

17.01.2022 So good to have my brother @davidbarker_csm on the pads.

15.01.2022 WIN the morning, WIN the day!

14.01.2022 With the aim of boxing being to hit and not get hit your foot defence plays an essential role in doing so. Remember if your feet are not correct your punches won’t be correct, everything’s coming from the ground up!

14.01.2022 Basic to more advanced - Step by step. One of many drills you can use the agility ladder for. Whilst punching make sure your head is off the centre line and heals underneath your shoulders for the best balance.

13.01.2022 Slipping and rolling Monday like When slipping a punch you should never lean back exposing your chin putting yourself in a dangerous position. Point your shoulder and transition your weight in the direction you wish to slip. Remembering you just want to get your head off the centre line, not to far off to the side creating gaps in your defence. Keeping your hands up and looking at your opponent. When rolling a punch you should NOT have your head down looking at the gro...und. Your chin should be tucked and eyes looking forward. I like to say aim at the opponents armpit. Drawing the letter U using your legs, core and pointing the shoulders to come under the hook, whilst keeping your hands up. If both these movements are done correctly you allow yourself to be in a good position to counter punch from. Can also be used to close the range and counter at the same time. Boxing isn’t just about throwing punches. Defence is a major part of it and in the cruel sport of boxing you won’t last long if you can’t defend.

13.01.2022 Bit of fun with @jayteezi

13.01.2022 Practice makes permanent. One of the things I love about boxing and martial arts is that it’s a never ending learning cycle. There is always something to learn or someone to learn from.

12.01.2022 Great to be back working with @lukejackson, let’s fkn go brother.

12.01.2022 Shoutout to these legends! I have had the privilege of coaching some of these guys for a few years now, their consistency and will to learn has been amazing! Their results speak for themselves! Even in my absence lately they have still been getting together and training. I say this to everyone I coach, you give me your effort and show me you want to learn and I’ll give you 100% of my effort in return.

12.01.2022 How’s the power couple moving in sync together.

11.01.2022 1-2-3-4-5-6-7 I find when delivering a combination to work with, it’s best off to break the combination down first.

11.01.2022 Defence X Speed

11.01.2022 The work doesn’t stop

11.01.2022 One of the first things people ask me when they come into the gym is so your a boxer right or how many fights have you had? I answer to that and say no I most definitely am not. I got a love a passion for boxing and teaching technique, I study the sport everyday. I’m always learning and looking to learn new things to bring to my clients. I believe that you don’t have to be a boxer to be a boxing coach. Yes being a boxer would be more of an advantage as you can relate to such. (Don’t get me wrong I’ve sparred, I’ve been pushed through gruelling workouts and know what it’s like to be on the receiving end of a solid punch) But I also believe if you have a love and passion for something you can go anywhere with that.

11.01.2022 Being coachable is one of the best attributes you can have whilst learning. You tick all the boxes brother. Keep your head down and continue perfecting your craft.

10.01.2022 There is a couple of things Dylan is working on here. Firstly having steady and balanced footwork so he can initiate the jab off the back foot, which is the reason why i am saying sit so he can put more weight on the back foot and push of it to throw the jab. Also having my other arm out to prevent his elbow from flaring, helping the jab get to its target faster without showing it’s coming.

10.01.2022 Consistent actions create consistent results!

10.01.2022 Can’t wait to see my boy @lukejackson back in action on December 16. What a card to be on! Headlined by @timtszyu v @bowyn_morgan

09.01.2022 Would just like to thank @juniortalipeauboxing for having me down this morning to run his session for @ko_playschool! All positivity, no egos. Perfect way to start your Sunday.

09.01.2022 When starting boxing training, You need to learn the basics first! 3rd session in with @dylgarlo and he is here to stay. Willing to learn step by step and not rush into things.

08.01.2022 This guy has been working his arse off! Very proud of you mate.

08.01.2022 Slowing things down with Brad. Stay consistent mate, only a few sessions in and look how far you have come.

08.01.2022 Big shoutout to these 2 legends! They have been working hard and consistently turning up and progressing each session. You guys are a pleasure to coach. Keep kicking those goals.

07.01.2022 @dougiebakes working his angles. Only been roughly 5 months since starting to work with PJ. It’s starting to come together nicely. ... Took him out for his first sparring session under my watch last week, I was super impressed. He moved well and most importantly listened to what I had to say. Keep your chin down brother, big things to come.

05.01.2022 The boys have been grinding hard! The intensity and focus they bring to each session is exactly what you want from your students! Being coachable and able to receive constructive criticism and then build from that is a skill that everyone should learn!

05.01.2022 Pj working a nice combination wearing his @powrboxx 16oz gloves.

04.01.2022 Holly throwing the Double-Jab-Cross smoothly. If you want results you need to turn up consistently! This is a prime example of that! Keep up the good work.

04.01.2022 Hold your head up high luke. Nothing but respect for you brother. Personally I think you did enough to win that fight. You were busier and landed the cleaner shots. Life goes on, no doubt you will be back in your happy place putting in endless hours of work again shortly.

04.01.2022 My boy @dougiebakes has been putting in the work! Another good hit out tonight. Consistently working on his craft and it’s paying off. Proud of you bro!

04.01.2022 At the end of the day, you put all the work in, and eventually it’ll pay off. It could be in a year, it could be in 30 years. Eventually your hard work will pay off. - Kevin Hart. Proud of you legend! Keep ripping in!

04.01.2022 Good drill to work the lead hook. What we are focusing on here is making sure Zac throws a nice straight right hand pointing the shoulder and turning the hip whilst keeping the head off the centre line to set up a left hook.

04.01.2022 Looking back a few years ago to now, I cannot believe the difference in Holly’s speed and power. Keep smashing those goals mate. I am one proud coach.

01.01.2022 Big shoutout to @kerrie_elise aka the TRIGGER! She’s been turning up week in week out, and giving it her best leaving no stone unturned. Keep ripping in mate
