24.01.2022 Great news! NSW Restrictions on Community Sport has been lifted and we're full steam ahead with organising the Rides. Nominations will open on 6th October via www.bullio.net. Again, we're really sorry about having to cancel the 20km and 5-10km rides. However we are restricted to no more than 500 attendees including workers, volunteers etc. and we had to make some difficult decision. We ask that you limit the number of people you bring to "essentials" only. Keep getting those horses fit.

21.01.2022 Planning is full steam ahead for the Matar Stables Bullio Cup for 2020!! Events will range from 5km intro rides up to the 120km AERA and FEI 2* Matar Stables Bullio Cup. There will be a couple of changes this year due to feedback we received from survey responses last year. Pre ride will be on the Friday afternoon and events will be starting on the Saturday morning 31st October with dinner/music and free drinks on the Saturday night following the ride. Best condition workout...s and the presentations will then be run on the Sunday morning allowing people plenty of time to head home. At this stage we are not planning on hosting a 1* event due to changes in the rules now requiring this event to be 100km minimum. We are working hard to try to bring you a 1* in the lead up by cooperating with other ride committees. Stay tuned for further details and announcements about our sponsors and the great array of prizes that they make available. Giddy up and bring a friend!!

16.01.2022 We have a limited supply of this year’s white shirts still available for sale. Black shirts were sold out at the ride. They are unisex sizing. Safe to say, a Small would be close to a women’s 10-12, Medium would be a womens’ 14-16, etc. Cost is $50 ea. We also have a very limited amount of high quality black caps with gold stitching @ $25.00 and also Matar Stables black masks @ $10.00 ea. They’re very high quality and totally unique, as modelled by Chris mowing the ride b...ase. 15.01.2022 Surveys have started rolling in. So that we can improve our event please fill them out and let us know if you dont receive one and you participated in any event. The surveys are anonymous. I also just wanted to share this little snippet of a survey response from someone competing in the 20km ride because its everything I love about our sport in Aus and the culture of the endurance community. I brought my large standardbred and received lots of positive comments from every...one about him. I usually ride my Arabs so it was nice to hear such lovely feedback from people eg 120 km riders about my horse. So nice to hear these things #somethingforeveryone

15.01.2022 STOP PRESS: We would like to announce HBA Australia as the saddle sponsor for the 2020 Matar Stables Bullio Cup. They will be providing six HBA saddles with stirrups to be awarded to the winners of all six divisions of the 120km events. The HBA Saddle is a very light weight (3kg) saddle designed to optimize the horses movement and disperse the riders weight evenly over the horse. The HBA saddle is designed to be placed back behind the horse's scapular to allow full extension ...of the forelimb without interference. With the girth points designed to sit the girth further back than traditional saddles it assists in the prevention of rubbing and chafing behind the elbow and girth area.
