25.01.2022 The Men's Fours Championships started on Sunday with 12 teams competing for the honour board title. 2 teams have had 3 wins. Ian Pennington's team have a massive lead +46 and Boomer is +16. There are 4 other teams with only 1 loss. However, we all know what a difference a week makes in this game. The chase is on boys. The women's pairs also started last Thursday with 16 teams vying for this honour board knock out event. In the semi finals of the major is Lex and Helen L playing Lorraine and Thelma, Jennie and Kerry playing June and Gail. The plate will see Lyn and Helen P playing Chris and Helene , Maureen and Sue will play Sylvia and Valmai. Good luck ladies and pray to the weather Gods for better conditions.

21.01.2022 Today our championship pairs were completed. The spectators were given an awesome display of bowls both in the semi finals and the final. Thank you to Busselton Veterinary Hospital for sponsoring this honour board event. The plate was won by Helen Paganoni and Lyn Colmer from Sue Blyth and Maureen Beaton. The Championship Pairs was such an amazing finish with Jennie Bruce and Kerry Scott defeating Helen Littlefair and Lex Harris on the last end. Well done all players, spectators and sponsors.

19.01.2022 Today we completed the Men's Championship Fours. In an extra end the winners were: Boomer Gearing, Bruce Edgar, Jeff Garland, Stan Wood and Rolf Groenheide who subbed in for Boomer last week. The runners up were Ian Pennington, Jim Paganoni, Jock Campbell and Les Thomas who subbed in for Neville Wheatley today.... Also we would like to thank the Beswick's who payed and organised for the caterers to supply us with a beautiful meal and desserts today. We would also like to thank All 4x4 and the Esplanade Hotel who sponsored the event. Matty Pennington

Come down on Sunday to view the finals and have a bevie or two. Good luck to all players in this honour board event.

05.01.2022 A big turn out for our Championship 4's played over the past 2 Thursday's. A different format with 3 sections of 3 teams. After the first day the winners of each section played off for the first 3 places. The second played off for the next 3 places and the last 3 played for the last 3 place. Overall winners were Judy, Sue, Maureen and Lyn. Runners up were Chris, Liz, Pam and Jane. Plenty of spectators for the last game to see who were the winners. Thank you to the Busselton Medical Practice for their generous support of our club.

05.01.2022 Community bowls previously known as corporate bowls starts on the 27th October. This is a reminder that nominations close this Friday 16th October. We are getting excited for another season.

04.01.2022 16 teams took part in the 2019/20 Men's Triples Championship held over this weekend in squally weather conditions. There was many unexpected bowls delivered in the wind. Congratulations to the winners Graham Evans, Ray Gwynne and Kerry Hosking. Runners up Matthew Pennington, Rob Butler and Garry Robins. Opening day for the women is this Thursday. The Club opening day is next Sunday names in 12.15 for an afternoon of social bowls and meet the sponsors.
