20.01.2022 The By Design team had a wonderful day out yesterday on our Christmas pub ride with Nash Horse Trekking. It was a great opportunity to let our hair down and do some not so serious riding to celebrate another successful year of horsing around! A huge thanks goes to Nash Horse Trekking, anyone wanting to have a great day out on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail we cannot recommend these guys highly enough Thanks also to everyone who came along and enjoyed the ride with us, we hope you all had a wonderful time. Merry Christmas to you all!

17.01.2022 This is a very valuable lesson to learn, I know some of you will also relate to this. Waiting until you are ready can really limit your progress... stepping out of your comfort zone, taking that leap of faith can be a great learning experience, good or bad. We will all fail occasionally but we will also often succeed when we muster up the courage to push ourselves and take that next step.
17.01.2022 The month that was... January What a month of ups and downs we’ve had! Some of the ‘ups’ include students getting stuck in to their training and lessons to achieve their 2019 riding goals Proud coach ... One very exciting ‘up’ is we’re pleased to announce that beautiful Ace has found his special new owner and partner in crime Angela. Not only does Ace now get spoilt by Ange, he also gets to stay right here at By Design! I look forward to helping them achieve their dreams together Another personal ‘up’ was me getting stuck back into my training with Ardie, stepping into our Medium level shoes Working hard on establishing more collection and, even more exciting, the flying changes! Looking forward to starting our 2019 season at Elementary level. On a much sadder note, one of our ‘downs’ was unfortunately having to say goodbye to a long time resident here at By Design, the very sweet old Lou Lou owned by Wendy. Louie leaves behind a lifetime of wonderful memories with Wendy. It is with much sadness that we won’t see his kind face greeting us in the front paddock any more with his best mate Hijo Here’s hoping for a less eventful but just as productive month in February!

11.01.2022 Great weekend excursion yesterday to the QSEC Horse Home Show. Heath Ryan was on point as usual with his motivational master classes, also enjoyed some tips for confident riding from Tanja Mitton and great entertainment from the Double Dan team. Managed to pick up a couple of bargains in the trade village as well... look out Hank, my outfit matching is very strong at the moment!

09.01.2022 WE ARE HIRING Stablehand Position Available at By Design Equestrian Centre Duties include:... - Cleaning stables and yards - Unrugging horses - Helping with morning feeds - Filling waters - General cleaning/tidying up around stables 6am-8am Monday-Friday, some weekend work may also be required. The successful applicant will be very reliable, have their own reliable transport, live locally, be self motivated and have a good level of experience with horses. Would prefer a swap arrangement for full care agistment/lessons in lieu of payment.
