As a young person who has engaged previously in our arts-based programs here at Byron Youth Services, we would love to invite you to an epically creative Creatures Art Night next Monday! It will be a fun session of collaborative art and will be a cool opportunity for you to be part of the future creative vision of the Youth Service! If yes, then contribute to the governance of Byron Youth Service by becoming one of two youth members of its Board. You will contribute to shaping the future for young people in Byron Shire. Your service will add to your resume, your life skills, communication, experience and expertise. You will have online opportunities to be inducted and to develop a number of relevant skills that w...ill serve you well in life in all its aspects. The Board sets the strategic direction, the objectives, and defines critical policies in relation to young people. It also oversees the finances, and any risks that may arise in Work Health Safety. 14.01.2022 We are super excited to be starting Term Two of the Resilience Hack- Youth Response Team Project this week! We have an exciting 8 weeks ahead with creative, arts-based & digital documentation activities and skills-building & cultural awareness activities while learning about becoming resilient in our worlds. The young people will also have the opportunity to develop new skills learning from a range of local emergency services who will share some awesome resilience hacks from in the field. Also, the crew had an awesome time on their end of term water adventure on the Simpson Creek!

05.01.2022 Over the weekend a group of emerging young artists at Byron Youth Services completed their "Enchanted Garden" murals transforming the front of the YAC. We are so proud of their artwork, a stellar effort on all fronts! Participants designed, developed and installed their amazing art pieces alongside the mentorship of Nickolla Clark & Karma Barnes.
