21.01.2022 I know you are reading lots of posts like this at the moment but like many other small businesses in town, I'm open and trying to find ways to get through these... tough times. I haven't had one customer this week but am still open and trying to brighten up this little corner of town with COLOUR! Colour has always made me happy and that is often how people describe my art....HAPPY. And I'm happy with that! I understand that many of us are not in the position to be spending frivolously at the moment but if you are and are feeling the need for a bit of colour in your life, now is a great time. All my paintings are on sale at the moment and I am happy to negotiate prices. You can phone or message me. If you are not out and about, I will happily deliver in Port Lincoln. I'm also happy to let you try before you buy. For anyone outside of Port Lincoln, I am happy to organise shipping at your expense. . . . . . . . . #colouryourworld #art #painting #handpaintedpots #fabric #textiles #cushions #brightboldhomewares #colourlover #colourfulinteriors #houseandhome #houseandgarden #gardenart #quirkyowl #portlincoln #southaustralia #shoplocal #supportsmallbusiness See more

09.01.2022 To our cafe community; Knowing that quieter, more isolated days are ahead for many of us, we want to keep you nourished and connected in the best way we know ho...w; through good food, endless coffee and strong community ties. In this wildly changing and chaotic environment, we’ve put together a healthy, wholesome meal kit menu (available from now!) that is super budget friendly and full of vitamin packed local produce. It’s been written with love for the people we serve by the people who make it; each recipe thoughtfully made to suit your office lunch break, or easily taken home to be served as a wholesome and generous evening meal. The price of these dishes is low; as we recognise that in these anxious, isolated times, keeping safe social connections is more important than ever. Perhaps this is one way we can contribute to our community. So enjoy a meal with us, or at home with us in spirit, knowing that we’re doing our best to take care of you, and that through your support, you’re taking care of yourself, our staff, our local producers, and our local business community. All our love, Jemma, Elouise & The Rogue, The Rascal & The Rebel team

08.01.2022 The virus lockdown. Yes there is fear. Yes there is isolation. Yes there is panic buying.... Yes there is sickness. Yes there is even death. But, they say that in Wuhan after so many years of noise you can hear the birds again. They say that after just a few weeks of quiet the sky is no longer thick with fumes but blue and grey and clear. They say that in the streets of Assisi People are singing to each other across the empty squares, keeping their windows open so that those who are alone may hear the sounds of family, friends and those in the same situation around them. They say that a hotel in the West of Ireland is offering free meals and delivery to the housebound. Today some young people I know are busy spreading fliers, messages and offers to help through the neighbourhood So that the elders may have someone to call on for anything they need or go to the shops for them. Today Churches, Synagogues and Temples are preparing to welcome and shelter the homeless, the sick, the weary. Families and friends are coming together to help each other. People are showing kindness to strangers. All over the world people are slowing down and reflecting. All over the world people are looking at their neighbours in a new way. All over the world people are waking up to a new reality to how big we really are. To how little control we really have. To what really matters. Waking up to Love. So we pray and we remember that. Yes there is fear, but there does not have to be hate. Yes there is isolation, but there does not have to be loneliness. Yes there is panic buying, but there does not have to be meanness. Yes there is sickness, but there does not have to be disease of the soul. Yes there is even death, but there can always be a rebirth of love. Wake to the choices you make as to how to live now. Today, just breathe, be grateful you are healthy and spare a thought for those who are less fortunate. Listen behind the factory noises of your panic. The birds are singing again. The sky is clearing, Spring is coming, and we are always encompassed by Love. Open the windows of your soul and sing.
