12.01.2022 Swing into the 2020 HockeySeason! The Cairns Hockey Academy is excited to launch a brand new Preseason program for the senior members. The Academy preseason pro...gram will run across 3 Friday's in February (7th, 14th & 21st). Men's and Women's matches will be played across 2 time slots (6pm & 7:30pm). The academy sessions will provide match based training opportunities for senior athletes looking to sharpen up before the Club season launches in March. Cairns Hockey will be supporting this format by opening the Bar and canteen for athletes and spectators. 04.01.2022 Whilst hockey continues in Cairns, Jayden Atkinson is off representing Queensland at the U21 National Championships. This extremely young team contains only 2 p...layers not eligible for U21s again next year and 4 players, including Jayden, who also participated at this year U18 Nationals. Despite their youth, they finished the pool stages in second place and will play South Australia in their cross over Semi Final. We continue to be extremely proud of all of Jayden’s achievements and wish him success for the finals. CHA representative trials will therefore be postponed indefinitely. This is obviously disappointing news but understandable in the current circumstances.
