21.01.2022 NEW RAINFOREST DISCOVERY ACTIVITY Is your group ready to start an exciting, fun adventure of exploring, recording and discovering all the hidden treasures in th...e sub tropical rainforest walk?. With your Leader and Team you will use the Rainforest Discovery Activity Cards, map camera, notepad and your keen observation powers to discover Flora and Fauna in the rainforest. Remember to take your time as you walk through the rainforest to observe all the different species and the ones we haven’t found yet. You can use the first 10 cards to rediscover identified species to gain points, and the 12 Bonus Cards to gain even more points. To gain points your team will have to record in your notebook/ sheet the Map Reference, Type and also to take an accurate Photograph of what you have discovered. REMEMBER Look up and around See more
19.01.2022 News Update . The campsite is closed until further notice due to the coronavirus. I have been given a key to the gate and there is also one with the caretaker. . Maintenance. Due to the closure and no camps for the foreseeable future we now have an opportunity to do some more regular maintenance. Thanks to Peter Marek and Alan we have been able to keep the place mowed and trimmed. Please contact me if you wish to come out and help with odd jobs. I generally go out on a Friday.... . Finance. Due to the wonderful efforts of Dave and the Containers For Change program we are sitting well financially. We have paid our major bills for the year. There will be no major expenditure this year due to the lack of any income from camps. Our Appeal Dinner has been postponed. . Upgrades. The camp kitchen now has four stainless steel tables for food preparation and serving. These replace the old wooden ones. Thank you for John who did the hard work of putting the tables together. 02.01.2022 LETTER OF THANKS Hi everyone. This a letter to say Thank You to all our friends of Camp Eagle for your ongoing support. With the current crisis forcing the temporary closure of the campsite, we have been able to continue even with the lack of income from camps.... This is largely due to our sponsors and donors and people behind the scenes who have continued to contribute to the vision of the campsite. Over this period we are completing improvements, maintenance, program development and growing the capacity of the campsite. These are some of the ways people are currently supporting. 1. Containers For Change Scheme. This is where you donate your 10 cent refundable containers to a collection point and quote our ID Number: C10006069 and your donation goes directly to the campsite account. 2. Direct Deposit We have a few donors making regular contributions this way. In Kind Support Small businesses and individuals supply their products and services to support ongoing maintenance and projects. Volunteering We have a dedicated team who donate time and resources to help with: Admin, Financial, Mowing, Painting, Collecting Containers, Cleaning, Pruning and all types of maintenance. In closing, may God bless all those who have, and continue to donate to our vision of supporting our youth and the community through camping.
