25.01.2022 Thank you John for insisting I bring home the first of the broad bean crop. Our first harvest this week being enjoyed with the Cana Olive Oil, Native Salt and Pepperberry and a lemon from the farm. Simple things in life are always the best. Yummo !!! Will be included in our veggie boxes from here on whilst they last. #broadbeans #farmdelights #magicaleating

25.01.2022 Thank you Penrith Council for recognising our contribution to the local community. Buying local offers such powerful solution multipliers - it reduces our carbon footprint, pollution and waste. It keeps us healthy with nutrient dense food and it creates dignified work for people working with nature. It strengthens local communities and local economies. We create a society we wish to live in - one of empowerment, diversity and a healthy human ecosystem.

25.01.2022 Girls are very proud of their new chickens, even naming them and choosing their personal favourites. Hard core farming . A big thank you to Michelle from Happy Hens and chickens, they are certainly happy and we look forward to you joining us for our day together. #michellehappyhens

23.01.2022 Happy birthday to Nichole Goulding - and day 2 of the seed bomb making, being a reflection and sharing of stories around ‘what planting of seeds means to us’. A wonderful day spent with our friends at Tree of Hope. Nichole - so nice to have so many nice words spoken about you, all of which are true. #treeofhope #plantingseeds #seedbombs #happybirhtday

21.01.2022 Happy Fathers Day to all the dad’s who work so hard at providing a secure place for nurture, love and emotional well-being. Enjoy those tender moments today

21.01.2022 Happy World Soil Day. We can all play a part both directly and in our purchasing patterns. A healthy eco-system builds happy and healthy families, care for our environment and communities. #happyworldsoilday #healthyecosystem #beecareful #beeconsiderate #beesmart

19.01.2022 Happy World Soil Day. We all play a part in looking after our soils, whether it be by our direct care or our purchase patterns. We have an opportunity to develop healthy eco-systems that have significant multiplier effects on our health, the earth’s health and our family’s and community wellbeing. #worldsoilday2020 #beecareful #healthyecosystems

17.01.2022 #economicsofhappiness shares that if people spent $5 in their local economies instead of multinationals, it would inject billions of dollars into a more sustainable economy that supports fair employment and builds community. Cana Farm makes that easy with our Xmas range. Please email [email protected] for our Xmas catalogue. Great products made by a local community to support people within our community most vulnerable. #socialenterprise #charity #community #penrithcity #penrithnsw

17.01.2022 Perhaps worth considering as a New Year Resolution and initiative in our communities generally. #nowaste #onesmallstepatatime

16.01.2022 This week I am so pleased to be able to gift this beautiful hat to a beautiful lady as a thank you gift. This hat has been painted with care and devotion from someone within our Cana Community - a young lady paving her way, with courage and attempt to make a difference. These purchases mean so much - to the creator, the gifter and the recipient. How purchases can make a difference in creating change, nurturing hope and dignity. Support a local artist this Xmas if you can. Would be happy to pass on details. #localartist #supportlocal #dignity #aboriginalart

16.01.2022 "Given the chance it can recover, and we know how to do that." Sir David Attenborough calls for urgent action to tackle the "biggest threat to this planet in thousands of years".

15.01.2022 The chickens are starting to lay a little more again, and we have eggs ready to go. Still not lasting long as high demand. Only $6 for a dozen farm fresh eggs. #fresheggs #fresheggsfromhappychickens

15.01.2022 Conversations that Matter - Grounded in Earth, Refined by Fire, Washed by Water, Winds of Change ..... Inspirations from the elements

15.01.2022 Under a bright full moon, last night was the first of our re-gatherings of a small community group at the farm. Volunteers we hadn’t seen for many months were able to join us, and what a fabulous night it was. A gathering around a fire, in our new fire pit designed and made by Caroline we enjoyed a prayer for the strength and light within us and within community.

14.01.2022 Was a lot of fun with a good mission in mind - 4 years ago . Nothing like a group challenge - it was the beginning of our trying to encourage one another to live healthy lives - now of course we do our walks. So many ways to capture the moments of life of being connected in healthy ways. Enjoy this beautiful spring day

14.01.2022 Cana Farm is part of this solution. Please help us continue. A critical message is also that Local farms and particularly ours as being a NFP, treat people with a greater deal of care and fair wage. Every purchase matters in changing our ecological and community patterning. We ask that you consider how you can be part of the solution. Our boxes are picked and at your door within 8 hours, we build community and support vulnerable communities. And we don’t use any chemicals. All for $50 for wholesome, nutrient dense food. Reducing travel miles for food is critical for our future, and we can shift it back with conscious decisions. Mosman / Clontarf deliveries next week. [email protected]

06.01.2022 People feel the changes need to be big to make an impact on the world.
