25.01.2022 We love it when lifelong friendships are formed during our hiking adventures! Check out this awesome group - they were strangers when they hiked the Cape to Cape Track with us but by the end of the week they were great mates. Then they got together back in Perth for the first of plenty more hiking adventures to come!! Here’s Ian’s account of the reunion hike: Sunday was the reunion hike for our C2C group. An almost perfect turn out (why do children have to have birthdays?) ...saw 12 of the 13 of us met in the Perth hills for an 8km stroll to the Parkerville pub for lunch before walking/shuffling back. Thankfully the organiser found a nice flat route because some of us hadn’t pulled on our hiking shoes since completing C2C in early October. 25.01.2022 Meet Jocelyn! At just 10 months old shes the youngest person to complete The Margaret River Regions epic 124km Cape to Cape Track as far as we know!! With a little help from proud (and fit!) dad Ed and mum Laurie, naturally. The family hiked the entire length of the Track over 7 days with logistical support, accomodation and transfers from us. It was a challenge, but we loved it. And Jocelyn definitely did too, Laurie says. 24.01.2022 Tackling The Margaret River Regions Cape to Cape walk - what an epic way to celebrate a 30th wedding anniversary!! Perth couple Mark and Jo Palladino (pictured with Jos step sister Jill Lewis, who joined them for several days hiking) walked 124km to complete the Track from end to end to celebrate three decades of marriage. 20.01.2022 A great afternoon and evening partnering with Nature Conservation Margaret River Region and the Margaret River Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the Annual Environment Sundowner, hosted at our hiking hub Surfpoint Resort. Thanks to all who helped at Grunters for the Coastal Restoration Activity beforehand! It was hard work up and down those stairs moving the mountain of brush to protect the dunes. Later at the Sundowner we shared our awesome local conservation initiatives ...and heard about the stellar efforts from the Margaret River Brewhouse and Voyager Estate ! Plus nice to hear Owl Friendly Margaret River Region spreading the word about rodenticides to the business community too. Well done to everyone involved! Lovely to see the business community giving back to the environment.

The former world No. 8 from Western Australian did our 3-Day Smiths Beach Spectacular experience with three pals. It involved staying in luxury accomodation at Smiths Beach Resort, three days of self-guided hiking on the epic Cape to Cape Track, with catering, transport and logistics from Cape To Cape Explorer To...urs. Amazing to meet you and so stoked to see you complete the Track in some wild weather!! For Robin it was the 5th time shes trekked the 124km Cape to Cape to reach the finish at Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse! What an effort!

13.01.2022 A highlight of our Bibbulmun Track hiking adventure is a visit to the Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk. It’s a big drawcard to the Walpole area - and it’s easy to see why!! Those with a head for heights can get a tree top view on the Tree Top Walk - a 40metre high walkway up in the forest canopy. Most canopy walks around the world are constructed using suspension bridges. But the Tree Top Walk is made from a series of 60-metre lightweight steel trusses built on steel pylon...s to form a secure ramp. And that’s not the only highlight. Beneath the canopy walk there is a pathway around the tingle trees for walkers known as the "Ancient Empire". Gracetown tragedy memorial- paid respects to 9 people who were killed in the 1996 cliffs collapse. Ellenbrook homestead a heritage home where the Bussell family were based for a short time. Hooded Plover - a bird that lives in sandy beaches and is often killed due to their low lying nests in the sand from cars and predictors. Got to see a couple running across the sands. Apparently only approximately 30 mating pairs left around the region. Margaret River- crossed the river and marked the half way point for our journey! Heres what the ladies said about their guided hike with our star guide Heather: We spent the most spectacular day hiking the Cape to Cape yesterday! Our amazing guide, Heather from @capetocapeexplorertours lead the way as we hiked south from Moses Rock to Gracetown. A couple of calf crunches up sand hills were endured and a river crossing were just some parts of our adventur...e. Wildflowers were in bloom and we were lucky enough to spot whales at two different locations just offshore. A great weekend away with a great group of women... We cant wait to do it again next month!! Woohoo! See you on the Track again soon!

02.01.2022 Perth university researcher and outdoors enthusiast Caroline Knight has been trail running the awesome Cape to Cape Track in The Margaret River Region this week - and gee shes quick!! Caroline is loving the physical challenge of running in the wild... but taking plenty of stops along the way to photograph the wildflowers coming into bloom and absorb the energy and serenity of the WA coastline. Im absolutely loving it, she says. Not even the odd shower has dampened her spirits - partly because shes got a roaring fire waiting in the common room at Surfpoint Resort at the end of the day!!
