21.01.2022 Welcome to Tania Lorschy - ECE teacher My name is Tania Lorschy and after doing relief at CVPS, I was delighted to be offered a position in the Kindy and Pre-Primary as their DOTT provider in B1 and B3. I have been fortunate to teach across all year levels, from Pre-primary to Year 11 and in a combination of government, independent and international school settings, including USA, Germany and Vietnam. I really love developing in children an inquiring mind and love the questi...ons they ask. I have two children, who are in year 5 and 6 and my husband and I love to travel and explore new places with them. We love camping, especially when it cold and we can have a campfire and toast marshmallows. I love watching live sports and support the WCE, Wildcats and the Scorchers. I also love books and can’t wait to share some of my favourite books with my classes this year.

20.01.2022 Welcome to Jessica Stockden - Teacher 2021 Hi everyone, my name is Jessica Stockden and I am very excited to join the fantastic team at Caversham Valley Primary School for 2021. I was born in Western Australia and for the past 6 years I have been living and teaching in New South Wales in Year One and Pre-Primary (Kindergarten) classrooms. I am passionate about early-childhood education and integrating technology into learning, ensuring students are provided with safe, suppo...rtive and nurturing environments where they are engaged, challenged and intrinsically motivated to reach their full potential. I place a strong emphasis on building positive, respectful relationships with my students, their families and the wider community, so that we can build an inclusive environment for all. In my spare time I enjoy exercising, cooking, going to the beach and travelling. I love spending time with my partner, family and friends, relaxing and enjoying lunch in the Swan Valley. I look forward to meeting all of our students, families and community members this year and am thrilled to be a part of such an amazing team at Caversham Valley PS!

16.01.2022 Welcome to Natalie Leggett - School Officer Hi, my name is Natalie (Nat) and I'm one of the new School Officers at the lovely Caversham Valley PS for 2021. I will be in the office Tue/Wed/Thur. I am incredibly excited to begin a new journey in my local suburb of Caversham. The staff here have been so friendly, kind and welcoming, I can hardly wipe the smile from my face .... I have 3 children, our daughter aged 11 has just started Highschool, our 9 year old son and our third child who is actually our Labrador - Mason, who is 1 1/2! I really enjoy keeping fit and active and taking our dog for walks and playdates. Participating in challenging Obstacle Course Races is always on top of my "To Do" list. I love spending time with my kids and having meaningful conversations with them, trying to be supportive to what their needs are through each milestone, journey and experience that they may be going through. We love craft - Playdough, fluffy slime, puzzles and painting. We have enjoyed camping in the past and are currently refurbishing a camper trailer for some off road/beach camping in the future. We enjoy water activities like swimming, going to the beach and kayaking and we are always looking for new adventures. I really enjoy being around kids and I wholeheartedly embrace each and every child as a unique individual. I can't wait to become acquainted with the students at CVPS and am super excited to meet and greet the marvellous families in our growing school community.

15.01.2022 2021 Kindy enrolments now open We are now taking applications for 2021 Kindy enrolments. There are several steps in this process so it is essential that parents are aware of what is required. The sooner that applications are in, the sooner we can notify parents of the Kindy days your child will attend. This will assist those who use day-care or need to negotiate work times with employers.... All information is available on our school website - www.CavershamValleyPS.wa.edu.au If you require any further information please email: 'Attention Dee - Kindy enrolment 2021' at [email protected]

07.01.2022 Introducing our LOTE (Language Other Than English) Teacher Carly Blenkhorn. My name is Carly Blenkhorn. I have had a passion for Auslan, the language of the Australian Deaf Community for the last twelve years. I worked first as an Educational interpreter for the Deaf, then as a Teacher of the Deaf, then as an Auslan LOTE teacher. I believe that Auslan is a valuable language to learn, with life-long benefits. Learning Auslan encourages acceptance, helps children to understand ...and celebrate diversity and develops neural pathways and cognitive processes unique to using a visual language. Students are learning a language that will give them the capacity to communicate with peers, friends, family members and others in the community who are Deaf. I love music and theatre and the highlight of my career so far has been interpreting on stage for high end theatre, such as Mary Poppins and Wicked. As well as teaching, I am also a foster parent and a writer. I'm looking forward to getting to know all the families at Caversham Valley Primary School.

03.01.2022 Welcome to Tanya Druzianich - Teacher 2021 My name is Tanya Druzianich and I am thrilled to be joining the Caversham Valley school community in 2021 as a Year three classroom teacher. I have taught across all year levels and have been very fortunate to have built many relationships with many families throughout my teaching career.... As a multicultural community, it is important that young children in Australia grow up with an appreciation and respect for the diversity of cultures, races and ethnicities that surround them. I am passionate about enacting a sense of community and I feel it is vital that every child feels a sense of belonging and inclusion within the classroom and the wider school community. Outside of teaching I am kept busy with my husband, three teenage children and two fur-babies. I love to travel and my favourite place in the whole world to visit is Croatia. I am really looking forward to getting to know the Caversham Valley Community
