25.01.2022 We are open for business for regional VictoriansWe are open for business for regional Victorians

22.01.2022 View from Cavok II over Duck Arm in the Gippsland lakes. As a family of four we found a week in winter to be a stress free way to explore the lakes area. We spe...nt a couple of sunny days beach moored behing the dunes and 90 mile beach, pottered up the Tambo to a secluded anchorage below the red cliffs, had a great steak in Metung, and visited a bunch of other cool places around lakes King and Victoria. Cavok is perfectly suited for a winter cruise around the lakes, good areas on deck to catch the sun, and a heated cabin to escape to once sundowners are called off due to sunset. There was heaps of room for the 4 of us to cook, eat and live, massive water tanks meant hot showers all around (and the head is actually big enough to shower in properly, which is a luxury). Easy to drive and manouver with consistant prop walk to assist, our 9yo daughter enjoyed finally being on a boat where she could see to drive - from the flydeck at least. Having previously been sail boat folks, with a 37ft sloop, the ease of using Cavok was wonderful. Instead of having everything perfectly packed away before we could sail for the day, it was just push the button to start and head where we wanted to go. While kids finished breakfast and (hopefully) washed up. Navigation in the lakes is all simple line of sight stuff, so no need to plot courses using wind and tide. (And no need to stress about depth like with a keel boat) Just point and go. (Leaving Colin to deal with fuel and oil etc was nice too). Overall a completely relaxing trip, where we just took our clothes for the week (didn't even use my foulies, just drove from inside on our one rainy day), bought food at the local IGA, and were free to focus on which empty beach to walk on today. And where we would sit to not catch fish.

21.01.2022 Hi Cavok II cruising group, We have had a cancellation for the last weekend of the school holidays, during this time of the year we have a `third night free` deal going so if you wanted to get here Thursday 9th and leave on the Sunday the 12th, this could be your opportunity to cruise the beautiful Gippsland Lakes, Dont forget Cavok II is equipped with a heater which will maintain 22 degrees in the saloon for your comfort. For additional information go the gippslandlakescruiserhire.com.au

20.01.2022 The only way to get to this section of beach is by boat, its the 90 mile beach at Steamer Landing which has a public jetty, there is another public jetty at Ocean Grange about a 1k down lake. Thanks to one of our customers for this great photo

05.01.2022 Bed and Breakfast on Board You arrive at about midday, stow your gear on the boat, we take you for a three hour tour of the Gippsland Lakes. We bring you back to Paynesville, tie Cavok II up to a jetty in the main street where you are then free to explore Paynesville and its eateries , have a few drinks then sleep on Cavok II for the night, We come and meet up with you and the boat about ten in the morning but not before you have enjoyed our supplied breakfast on Cavok II , I...f you are not interested in our breakfast then we suggest the Fig Licensed Cafe which opens early and comes highly recommended. If you are interested in this opportunity then please contact us to discuss the arrangements..0418595533 This option is to cater for those that would like to experience the boating life but not confident in the operation of the Boat. www.gippslandlakescruiserhire.com.au
