22.01.2022 CHILD PROTECTION WEEK 2020 6 - 12 September The theme of this year’s Child Protection Week is ‘Putting Children First’. Over this coming week, we’ll be... sharing stories of our staff and the different ways that they put children and young people first. Whether it’s by embedding culture into our services, or always being there to listen to children and young people, the safety and wellbeing of children is at the heart of what we do. Every child deserves to grow up in a safe and loving home. We all have a role in keeping children safe. We thank our families, communities, service providers, and staff for everything they do to help put children first. #ncpw #ncpw20 #playyourpart See more

13.01.2022 We've updated our dedicated information page about mental health and the coronavirus (COVID-19). At bb.org.au/33e5eOL, you can find information about how to loo...k after yourself and others during periods of self-isolation, as well as practical tips and advice about managing feelings of uncertainty, stress and anxiety. Another way to ensure you're looking after your mental health during periods of isolation is by connecting with others via the Beyond Blue online forums. Our dedicated Coping with coronavirus thread is a safe place where anyone can share how they're feeling and offer support to those affected: bb.org.au/33cNdQU If youre feeling distressed or overwhelmed, our mental health professionals are available 24/7 at the Beyond Blue Support Service on 1300 22 4636 or at beyondblue.org.au/getsupport for online chat (3pm-12am AEST) and email (responses within 24 hours). 11.01.2022 CCA is playing a crucial role in the current unprecedented COVID-19 crisis which is devastating communities across the country. Our vulnerable clients, have bee...n impacted first and hit the hardest as Panic Buying continues to fuel this crisis causing lack of access to essential food and sanitary goods. We have a shortage of Essential Relief Supplies and soon will be unable to provide the essential help to the children, families, and the elderly who are in need. As a trusted organisation forming part of the emergency response network, CCA is acting as a conduit for the generosity of our community and supporters who are keen to assist with essential supplies to the most vulnerable members of our community. CCA is delivering exactly what is needed, when and where its needed in order to efficiently and effectively support the relief efforts. Click or go to https://www.ccas.org.au/ to donate, Every dollar you donate will enable us to provide urgent supplies to affected disadvantaged children, young people, families and the elderly in our community.

08.01.2022 It's R U OK?Day, a reminder that every day is a day to start a conversation that could change a life. Today we're calling on Australians to learn what to say af...ter R U OK? so they can keep the conversation going when someone says they're not OK. There's more to say after R U OK? Learn what to say when listening with an open mind Learn what to say when encouraging action Learn what to say when checking in Learn how to continue a conversation that could change a life. When we know what to say next we can help someone open up and find pathways to support long before they're in crisis.
