25.01.2022 RESUMPTION OF TRADE - Monday 2nd November 2020 Hi everyone ! We hope you have all been keeping well and remain in good spirits despite the events over recent months.... In line with the Victorian Government’s announcement on Sunday 18th October, we will be resuming trade on Monday 2nd November 2020. Our trading hours upon resumption of trade will be: Monday - Friday : 10am - 5pm Saturday : 9:30am - 12noon Sunday & Public holidays - CLOSED (We will assess over time as to whether these hours will change or if they will remain our normal trading hours ongoing) Like all other retailers, we are required by law to have a COVID-safe plan in place. We will work on this over the next few days and make you aware of the details once finalised. At this stage, we assume, (amongst other requirements) that there will be a limit on the number of customers in the shop, a record of customer attendance and also the requirement to wear a mask at all times. We ask for your understanding and cooperation with complying with the measures that we must have in place. The last thing we want to do is put the health and well-being of our customers in jeopardy and be penalised by our regulatory authorities. One thing worth mentioning is that the firearms industry in Australia is currently experiencing a widespread shortage of product. As you know, most of the products we sell are imported. The political situation in the United States and the new wave of COVID-19 infections throughout Europe have resulted in significant delays in product manufacture and supply from these two parts of the world. Unfortunately, this is likely to result in disruption to product supply for many months (some sources suggesting possibly from now until late next year). While we have done our best to maintain supply of core items, it is inevitable that many products will not be available for the foreseeable future. Where possible, we have done our best to obtain alternatives and are happy to discuss your requirements with you. Please note also that most of our suppliers have had one or two price rises since the start of the year - which has resulted in some of our prices increasing. We look forward to seeing you all again at some point soon. We ask that you bear with us and be patient as we attempt to transition back to normal trade under non-ideal circumstances. Email ([email protected]) and Facebook Messenger remain the best way to contact us. We apologise in advance if we are unable to answer all of your phone calls once we re-open. Regards Paul & John

24.01.2022 VICTORIAN REGISTRY'S COVID THREAT: As many of you may have heard, the Licensing and Regulation Division of Victoria Police has announced that it will now reprim...and, suspend or cancel the licences of shooters or licenced security guards if they are alleged to have breached the current COVID restrictions in Victoria and are issued a fine. This follows previous similar ‘threats’ to shooters who get caught speeding under ‘aggravated circumstances’ (which includes driving over the posted speed limit), and their more recent behaviour earlier in the year of threatening - rather than helping - handgun licence holders unable to meet their participation requirements because of the restrictions. The NSC is not here to just ‘talk’ about our problems: we act on them. The NSC has sought preliminary legal advice and if you are a shooter or security industry guard who has had his / her licence affected by the LRD, please let us know what happened by contacting us at [email protected]. If we find ‘the right case’ then we’ll be commencing legal action in either the Firearms Appeals Committee (FAC) or Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) immediately and add to the list of actions against the heavy handed way that those in charge of the registry think they can get away with!

23.01.2022 In line with today’s message from the Victorian Premier about Stage 4 restrictions for metropolitan Melbourne, we will be closed for the duration of these restrictions. Unfortunately, this means that we will not be resuming normal trade, as we previously hoped, on 19th August. We will advise accordingly, closer to the time, when normal trade can resume. Obviously, this all depends on how things progress. We can still be contacted via email at [email protected] ...or via Facebook Messenger. We can assist with mail order of items, placement of orders and provision of information. Collection of items from the store will NOT be possible until further notice. This is not open to debate. Any firearms that arrive from other dealers will be put into storage and can be collected after these restrictions are lifted - there will be no additional charge for the storage. If you are contemplating buying a firearm from another dealer and having it sent to us, we ask that you not have it sent at this time if possible. We encourage you all to follow the current directives issued by the state government in relation to COVID-19. We ask that you do this not only for your own health but also for the health of your family and community.

22.01.2022 Good afternoon everyone. After today's press conference from the Victorian Premier, we still do not have any indication about when a return to face-to-face trade can resume. As advised, we will not be getting any updates on this until October 19th at the earliest. We think it would be fair to say that we will be closed for the entire month of October - but we need to wait and see. ... In the meantime, it is restricted trade as usual. We can still be contacted by email ([email protected]) and Facebook Messenger. We can provide permittted items through the post and can take deposits for orders. We reiterate that we CANNOT allow collection of any items from the shop under ANY circumstances. Many of our suppliers have indicated that stock outages are unable to be filled until well into next year. On a positive note, some of our smaller suppliers have been working hard and have been sucessful in landing small amounts of some popular items - so it isn't all doom and gloom. We encourage you to make contact to place your orders promptly as these items will sell out quickly. We encouarge you all to continue to take care of yourselves, your families and your communities. And finally, a special message from Paul - "keep your chin up !"

11.01.2022 Hi everyone Just received, this is an extract from SSAA Vic notification regarding range closures & restrictions. For those of you in Melbourne, please pay close attention to item 2. Dear branches and clubs,... With the release of the latest Directions from the Chief Medical Officer, I can confirm the following changes for SSAA Victoria ranges: 1. Regional ranges will be able to continue operation as per the previous restrictions circulated except for the following that has been issued today. a. All ranges are required to confirm place of residence for all patrons entering the facility. Any patron that resides in a restricted (lockdown) area is not permitted on the range and must be refused entry. There is no exception to this ruling. The following link provides information of the restricted area - https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/victorias-restriction-levels-co. 2. Both Eagle Park and Springvale ranges will be closed for the next 6 weeks unless otherwise advised. This has been a difficult decision but in reviewing all the Directions and to protect the organisation it was the only realistic option. This closure will also include the cancellation of all training courses and the shop/office. As per the last closure, club access to the ranges will be prohibited. Staff will continue to be on-site to ensure security is maintained.

10.01.2022 RECLASSIFICATION is the bane of the shooting world. It allows bureaucrats to arbitrarily change the classification of otherwise legally held firearms, to make t...hem illegal to continue to hold - all because of 'how they look'. It's 'policy on the run' and needs to be stopped. The NSC has just won a key legal fight in Western Australia, and we're going to fight every other reclassification to make the point that there is no place in our world for bad gun laws. Check this out & support the NSC at nationalshooting.org.au

We will be using the next few days to prepare our store for a resumption of trade. 10.01.2022 For those of you with General Category H licences, some sanity has finally prevailed. This latest message from Victoria Police Licensing Servies Division: Good afternoon,... In response to the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020, the Victorian Government had issued Stage 3 restrictions for Regional Victoria and Stage 4 restrictions for metropolitan Melbourne, meaning travel and movement throughout the state has been restricted. Under these circumstances, the Licensing and Regulation Division (LRD) are aware that licence holders have not been permitted to attend and participate at shooting clubs during this time. Due to these restrictions, Victoria Police have made the decision to waive all handgun participation requirements for the 2020 calendar year effective immediately. This means that all shoots or matches required to be completed per number of classes of handgun possessed, will be exempt for the 2020 calendar year. Attached is a signed Notice of Variation of Licence Condition for your reference. The variation issued on 6 July 2020 will no longer apply. Approved shooting clubs will still be required to submit an annual report for 2020 within 3 months after the end of the calendar year to the Chief Commissioner of Police in accordance with s.123C of the Firearms Act 1996. Licence holders are not required to submit requests for exemption or modification, this variation applies to all affected licence holders. If you have further questions, please email [email protected] or if you need more information about the current restriction levels in Victoria, please refer to the Department of Health and Human Services website. We would like to thank you for your continued cooperation during this time and hope you are staying safe and well. Regards, Licensing and Regulation Division Regulatory Services Department Victoria Police

07.01.2022 COVID-Safe Workplace details for customers For our return to face-to-face trade on Monday 2nd November, we are obligated by law to comply with legislation to ensure a COVID-Safe workplace. These are not our rules, but those we are obligated to follow. These conditions are NOT open for debate and will be enforced. We understand that these conditions may be inconvenient, but we ask that you co-operate to ensure that the legal requirements are met. The last thing we want is tr...ouble with our regulatory bodies and our ability to trade being compromised - but most importantly, our primary concern is for our collective health and well-being. It is a condition of entry at this time that ALL customers observe the following requirements of our COVID- Safe Plan: ALL customers entering our store will be required to have their name, address and contact phone number recorded. If the relevant COVID-19 travel restrictions are still in place, customers who have travelled more than 25km from home or reside in regional Victoria will not be permitted to enter. Limit of 2 customers in the shop at any one time. ALL customers are to properly wear a facemask (covering both mouth and nose) while in the store. Customers who cannot wear a mask for a prescribed reason will not be allowed to enter but will be served through the security door. ALL customers are to sanitise their hands upon entry into the store with hand sanitiser provided. Customers are to remain at least 1.5m apart both while in the store and while waiting outside. There will be NO handling of firearms for browsing purposes until further notice. We implore you NOT to visit us if you are feeling unwell or are experiencing any of the symptoms associated with COVID-19. Once again, we appreciate your co-operation and understanding. Regards Paul & John

06.01.2022 In line with today’s message from the Victorian Premier, we will remain closed to walk-in trade as Stage 4 restrictions continue. Please remember that despite our store being closed, we are still working behind the scenes. As mentioned previously, we can continue to assist with mail order of permitted items, placement of orders and provision of information. Collection of items from our store will NOT be possible until further notice. This is not open to debate.... We can be contacted via email at [email protected] or via Facebook Messenger.

04.01.2022 Good afternoon everyone. This friendly reminder was sent to us today by the Victoria Police Licensing Services Divsion. The question we would like to ask is: Will motorists lose their drivers' licences if they are caught breaching COVID-19 restrictions ??............ Good afternoon, The Licensing and Regulation Division (LRD) regulate the firearms industry to ensure public safety and peace and continually assess the suitability for individuals to hold a firearm licence. It is expected that if you hold a firearm licence you are aware of the firearm safety standards to keep yourself, your family and others around you safe. The LRD would like to remind all firearm licence holders that they must follow each of the Chief Health Officer’s (CHO’s) directives which are currently in place to slow the spread of the coronavirus and keep the community safe. Victoria Police takes breaches of licence conditions and CHO restrictions seriously. Blatant and deliberate disregard of the CHO’s directions endangers public safety and calls into question a licence holders suitability to be licenced in an area that requires a strong emphasis on safety. Should a licence holder blatantly and deliberately breach the CHO’s restrictions, your licence can be suspended, cancelled or may be subject to a reprimand which could harm any future licensing. If you are unsure around what activities are permitted under the CHO’s directives, please visit the Department of Health and Human Services website or phone the Coronavirus hotline on 1800 675 398. More information about the LRD’s response to COVID-19 can be found on the Victoria Police website Firearms. Regards, Licensing and Regulation Division Regulatory Services Department Victoria Police
