25.01.2022 Gold ball winner! Thomas K, one of the hardest working blokes on the paddock for the 12s in their win over last year's semi finalists. 15s also out on Beauchamp for the local derby with @ljrugby. Proud mum Leanne was there to open the Canteen, see the game and also AGC the 12s. Volunteers rock! Reports coming in for 10s as well. Stags beat local rivals Lane Cove. Highlanders had a very tight game scoring 5 tries each against Sylvania but let down by wayward conversions in a... windy affair. And Tartans had a +15 point turnaround against the same team they played last week from Newport. And the sun is out for a glorious and fun filled day of rugby. #volunteers #Rugby #thebestfamilyclubonthenorthshore #rugbyisthewinner

21.01.2022 Around the grounds....with Beauchamp out of action this weekend, our fellow clubs came to the rescue with 8 out of 11 of our Junior teams getting a game. Thanks to @mosmanjuniorrugby @collaroyrugby @ljrugby @westsjru @seaforthraidersrugby @newportjuniorrugby @hornsbyjuniorrugby @hillsjuniorrugby @lcjru And a shout out to all the referees who adjusted their plans to make these games happen. Thank you.... 14s had a special ref from @nswjuniorrugby too. He didn't take any disrespect and rightly so. Great example of refereeing throughout the game. #Rugby #sjru #wetweathernoworries

20.01.2022 A super day for rugby across Sydney but the absolute highlight was this wonderful gesture from @norwestrugby Our 14 Stags currently have 8 injured. They were ably backed up by Tom L and Tom B from the Highlanders plus Norwest lent some players. After the game which was played in good spirits the Norwest coaching crew gathered both teams together and said how they admired the fight and spirit in the Chatswood players. How good is rugby?... #stagsvsbulls #huddle #howgoodisrugby

17.01.2022 Fantastic friendly 14s game with @wakehurst_rugby today that saw some Chatty boys swapping sides to hit up against their mates. Well done Angus, Ryan, Griff and Dylan. There were school friendships, old team mates from U7s at Chatswood and lots of banter. The coaches weren't sure who to barrack for. Thanks for the fun Wakehurst #rugby #friendly

10.01.2022 Saturday is rugby day. So said one of the toughest and smartest coaches ever at @gordonrugby, Gordon Ogilvie. Gordon sadly passed away this week and we know he will be watching on when the Shute Shield GF kicks off. Gordon play @eastwoodrugby to be crowned champions. 07.01.2022 What is the spirit of rugby? It's what we saw when visiting @penrithrsljruc today with the U12s. The leaders of both teams talked during the week about making the day something more than just a game. The teams warmed up together, swapped players and finished the game all as mates. Great idea and well done to all involved. It's the friendly game of 10s for the 16 Black Stags at Ryde @ryderugbyclub in high scoring game played at pace. And heading home knowing you'll be sore tom...orrow It's cheering on from the Beauchamp Hill in a Covid safe environment on a perfect spring day and hamming it up with your mates. It's having 3 generations of Chatswood players together on Father's Day. It's firing up the Barbie after you've already packed up to feed the hungry 14s late in the day and doing an all day shift on the tongs (well done Paul!) That's the spirit of rugby and it runs in all of us. #Rugby #fathersdayrugby #mates #thebestfamilyclubonthenorthshore

07.01.2022 11 Stags loved the wet finish to the year up at Cliff Oval. Huge thanks to the leaders of this crew, Israel, Sophia and Scott. Bring on 2021!!! #rugby #thebestfamilyclubonthenorthshore

06.01.2022 Hooray! Test rugby is here. What do you think of the Wallaby line up? Anyone you would have liked to see there but isn't? Is the balance right? Is this our chance to grab a win on NZ soil and put one hand on the Bledisloe? Where are you watching the game and who with?... What is your tip and by how many? 05.01.2022 And now for some good news... congratulations to this Chatswood star @liamgrover123 for making the @nswrugby U15 Gen Blue squad in what has been a disrupted year for rep rugby. Also a call out to fellow Stag stalwart @mitch.hyslop for his selection. #rugby #genblue

05.01.2022 Nothing will stop these Chatty Girls or that crew at @sydneynorthgirlsrugby Thanks to the @gordongazelles for coming along to support the players This is the way we grow our game... #girlsrugby #rugby #funinthefog

04.01.2022 Our joint 15/16s are loving the SJRU Spring 7s. Check out these action shots from @nitronorrie from Centennial Park last Sunday. Thanks @sydjuniorrugby for organising this comp. #7s #rugby... #thereisnooffseason See more

03.01.2022 Our district senior club @gordonrugby are having a great year with a resurgence that has seen the club grab the Club Championship after 16 years in Uni's hands, appearances for all grades and Colts in finals (excepting unlucky 2nds) and a couple of premierships last weekend in the lower grades. This weekend, the big dance for 1st Grade is on and for Gordon it features some local players who began their rugby on the @gordonjuniorrugbyclub village clubs fields.... James Lough (Chatswood), Jack Dempsey (Chatswood and Lindfield) and Tom Silk (Lane Cove) will line up in the back row for the Highlanders. There is also a bunch who have come through the Gordon Colts in recent years. So get around the GRU as they head into the GF this Saturday at Leichhardt Oval. Reposted from @nswwaratahs #SHUTESHIELD The significance of Saturday’s Shute Shield climax against Eastwood at Leichhardt Oval runs far deeper than it simply being The Stags’ first grand final since 1998. It is the chance to complete an astonishing rugby transformation by re-establishing @gordonrugby as one of Sydney’s powerhouse clubs. If all goes to plan, a home-grown tartan backrow will also be leading the way with 2019 World Cup Wallaby Jack Dempsey, Tom Silk and James Lough all local juniors. 02.01.2022 Sensational spring morning at Beauchamp today. Our club volunteers were in fine form and deserve a virtual pat on the back for their incredible efforts. 02.01.2022 How about these numbers?

02.01.2022 Match report from the 16 Black Stags. A thrilling after the bell win with a kick into the teeth of a southerly gale. We are loving this JV with Collaroy Rugby Club. Great bunch of players and families.

01.01.2022 Rd4 wrap-up...great game in the sun at Tantallon @lcjru for 14 Highlanders...a bit of mud from the one muddy spot for try scorer @tigerk_06 .....Matty B used the mud for a post game 0s & Xs... @thesportsphysioclinic was on hand when our gear manger got a neck crick...and the 14 Stags Rehab team was there to see their mates eek out a gutsy win vs @ljrugby with no subs on the bench and tries to Josh Canno and a match winner from Ari. 13s got up over @juniorbeasties on the artif...icial grass with a huge team effort and improvement. 11 Highlanders found @briarsjuniorrugby too strong for their 2nd game for the weekend but for half a team who have never played rugby it's very commendable. Our 16 Black Stags JV with @collaroyrugby also with a bare min. 15 had @ljrugby on the ropes in an expansive game but ran out of gas. It didn't matter to Coach @lordsammac who was chuffed to see the fight from these players who had a huge amount of fun. Bring on round 5! #Rugby #thebestfamilyclubonthenorthshore See more
