24.01.2022 Historic day for the Chelly and Denman hotel. The two teams merged for the t20 tier 1 completion. Taking on the district heavyweights the merger put on a modest 116. Mulbring were cruising after the first 10overs in reply but some individual brilliance and great teamwork turned a likely loss into a memorable win. Well done to all the players and supporters involved

23.01.2022 Hey everyone so a decision has been made to unfortunately postpone presentation night we didnt want to have to but with everything going we think its in the best interest in the players partners and families to put it off for now. We will let u all know when it will be going ahead with plenty of notice to lock it in, until then everyone and there families stay safe during this time and hopefully we will be ready to go come season start.

22.01.2022 2nd Grade Grand Final Preview Carmicheal 1, 14th of March 1230 pm Start Head to Head this Season: Played 3 Chelmsford Hotel 2 Wine Country 1 The Chelmsford Ho...tel Last Season 2nd /Beaten grand finalist Captain Aaron Fallon Key Three- Andrew Wanless, Aaron Fallon, Bradley Hanlon X-Factor Beau Lantry Wine Country Cricket Club Last Season- Wooden Spooners Captain- Brendon Briedenhann Key Three- Dave Plumridge, Hudson Smith, Robbie Sidebottom X-Factor- Andrew Fensom Bottom Line- This is the 3rd straight Final for the Chelmsford Hotel and with nothing to show from the last 2 they will be out to get that monkey off their back. But they will meet a very determined Wine Country side playing in their 1st final and chasing the clubs 1st silverware since the Wentworth Hotel burnt down and forced the name change to Wine Country. With the final set to be played at Carmichael Park which has some small boundaries this game is set to be a high scoring affair The Chelmsford Hotel will look to opening batters Wanless and Hanlon to get them off to a good start and then have A. Fallon and Turnbull finish off the game for them. The Chelly have an impressive bowling line up with Beau Lantry leading the charge with the new 2 piece. Lantry will be looking for support from his fellow bowlers A Fallon, Ridley and Rowsell to build on the momentum he will lay down in the opening overs. Wine Country will be hoping opener Plumridge gets off to a flyer but will rely on the stack middle of Sidebottom, Fensom, Ellis and Briedenhann to score the bulk of their runs and hopefully Jeans can find some form with some late over pinch hitting. The ducks also have a stacked bowling attack which is led by up and coming youngster Hudon Smith who will take control with the new 2 piece and bowl tidy overs and turn to Heath, Harris and Jean to take full advantage of the start he will provide. Briedanhann will have himself for spin and Sidebottom to turn to if needed but will be hoping that isnt needed. All in all this is set to be a cracking game and with both clubs supporters set to be out in force to support their clubs It will be standing room only at Carmichael Park with a sell-out predicted. With the Chelmsford not wanting to head back to the Chelly for the 3rd straight year Trophy less and the Ducks looking for their first ever title its a toss of the coin and will go down to the team that is the hungriest. Prediction- Wine Country

22.01.2022 Congratulations to our club legend Joey Gillis . Man of the match in 4th grades game today.

22.01.2022 We are laughing too Brad Hanlon. Well batted 71 man of the match effort on old boys day. One to remember

21.01.2022 2nd grade premiers 2019/20! Well done boys!

21.01.2022 4ths took on the undeafeated supporters at chinamans hollow and went in to bat first and that they did with vj and skipper mitch opening and continuing there early season form with the veterans putting on a great opening stand of 95 before vj fell for a solid 61 off 54 balls the runs kept flowing all the way through the innings with mitch getting 46 abi picking up a nice 39 Suraj 13 ian getting his best score off 11 and a quick fire 8 off joe at the end to push the score to 8... for 198 off the allotted 40 overs. Full of confidence the boys went out to get the job done with the ball and couldnt of asked for a better start with jordo picking up a early wicket but from there supporters fought hard putting on small partnerships all the way through the innings and then things got tense needing pretty much a run a ball for the last 5 overs the boys really dug in and throwing themselves around in the field to save every run possible a supurb 2nd last over by suraj wasnt quite enough to get the boys over the line with supporters hitting the winning runs on the 2nd last ball off the game finishing 8 for 199 in a heartbreaking loss for the boys. The wickets were shared evenly around with jordo taking 1 for 64 off 10 suraj 2 for 24 off 6 vj rounding out another solid game with 2 for 46 off 10 abi 2 for 21 off 5 and mitch finishing off a great all round game as well with 1 for 19 off 6 and a screamer off a catch in slips. Man of the match was mitch well done mate. The boys move on this week to take on bellbird at chinamans still chasing there 1st win of the season good luck boys See more

20.01.2022 So its official fellas its the best start to a season in chelly history with both teams going into the break on top and undefeated on top of that 2nd grade have the top 3 leading run scorers in the district as well as the equal leading wicket taker. 4th grade have 2 batsmen in the top 10 and 1 bowler in the top 10. Its been a huge start to the year and like I've said we all need to go on with it now and finish it off.

20.01.2022 Merry xmas to the chelly cricket family players supporters everyone. Everyone stay safe enjoy time with family and friends and see u all in the new year

19.01.2022 Old boys looking sexy

19.01.2022 Yeah we did!!!! We are on route to the chelly with the shield . More to come

19.01.2022 2nd grade traveled out to branxton for the local grudge match and after winning the toss and deciding to bat things started off slow and steady with Andy and azz getting through the tough period and getting the boys to 0 for 39 off about 12 overs setting the platform but Andy miss timing a pull shot straight in the air and getting caught for 13 things fell apart from there skipper azz batted patiently before being bowled for 23 and the collapse was in full force after being 0... for 39 to all of a sudden being 7 for 51 it was time for former chelly great jmac in his first game back for the club in over 5 years to knuckle down and try get things back on track but with wickets falling all around him like dominos it was hard to get in a rythem but a nice little partnership of 30 with beau we scraped our way to 87 with jmac top scoring with 24 and beau finishing on 11. We knew we had to start well with the ball and beau and tae did that with things reasonably slow early on but greta battled away getting to drinks at 3 for 55. After drinks skipper follan took the big wicket off bridgey 1st ball putting him on a hat trick but Greta were just to good on the day getting the runs 6 down in 26 overs. Massive effort from the boys with the ball showing that chelly spirit never giving up which is what we pride ourselves on. But with the ball beau finished with 2 for 23 off 6 tae bowled well without any luck 0 for 15 off 7 azz 2 for 19 off 6 Ridley 1 for 14 off 3 josh 1 for 17 off 4. Man of the match was skipper azz finishing with 23 and 2 for 19. Next week the boys look to bounce back playing the denman hotel at baddley 2 See more

18.01.2022 Hi All. We are getting some old boys shirts made up . Anyone interested in purchasing one, the cost of the shirt is $35. Please let me know on this post if you would like one

18.01.2022 So your grand final team for this weekend people Skipper Arron follan always tries to lead by example the boys will be looking to him for leadership from the front with both bat and ball. With plenty of finals experience he will be looking to use all of that to get the boys over line this year Vice captain hayden Ridley fielding and spinner extraordinaire will be looking to bamboozle the opposition once again with his spinners and always looking for that screamer of a catch ...or run out opportunity Andrew wanless one of the older heads of the team with plenty of finals experience as well has lead from the front opening the batting the past few seasons and will look to continue his consistent form once again and look for a improved effort with the keeping gloves after a off game by his standards last week Josh mcinnes ( jmac) another one of the older heads back for another season with the chelly after disappearing for a few seasons Andys opening partner has looked solid all year with the bat without any luck hoping this will be his week Brad Hanlon has had a up and down season with the bat but when he is on can be as devastating as the best of them the boys will be looking for another cameo from the big bat Corey Goodwin another one who can tear apart a bowling attack on his day always solid in the field and a real comedian of the team Matty Turnbull has become a middle order specialist with the bat this season putting on a late match winning innings last week in the semi final, not to mention one of the best outfielders in the competition Robert follan the oldest head and shortest player in the team but puts in 100% in the field everytime another who has become a handy middle order hitter who with Turnbull last week put on a handy partnership and can bowl some overs with a handy wicket taking ability Josh hunter been in and out of the team all season but another who can hold his bat and stick around if needed another one can bowl when needed and like rob has a knack of taking wickets everytime he bowls not only that but speed across the field makes batsmen think twice about that extra run Tae rowsell our opening bowler who forms a formidable opening partnership with beau tae just runs in all day long gets the job done week in and week out along with his ground fielding and catching abilities is a major part of this team Beau lantry the spearhead of the attack loves to put the fear into batsmen with his genuine pace and also tries to put the other team off there game with his pre game music and line dancing. There it is folks your chelly team taking on wine country in the big dance this weekend hope to see everyone out at bellbird from 1230.

11.01.2022 4th grade match report. Rd5. With Chelly winning the toss, Bellbird were sent in to bat. Opening bowlers Vijay (4/24) and H.Yates(4/20) ripped through bellbird leaving them 9/61. A last wicket partnership of 50 help bellbird to set a respectable target of 112. Chelly started reasonably Vijay (6)Big mitch (10) and praveen (9) getting starts. H.Yates (26)looked the goods but bellbird bowled well and we lost a flurry of quick wickets to be 7/75. Andy (37*) and Abi(12*) played with patience and got us home (7/113). 3 from 3 and top of the table. Keep up the great work Chelly 4th grade

09.01.2022 So today our 2nd grade boys took on bellbird in a replay of last years grand final in a semi final and it was one to remember coming down to the final couple overs of the game. With a hint of dejavu from last year it was a wet deck once again and also losing the toss and being sent into bat again we looked to making amends for last year. Andy and jmac started us off slow and steady with the object of getting through 10 overs which they almost did before jmac falling for 8 the...n brad and Andy kept things ticking along with Andy finishing on 30 and brad 31 we went into drinks at 2 for 58. A few quick wickets fell after that then Turnbull and rob put on a well needed 50 run partnership with Turnbull top scoring with 33 and rob finishing on 16 which pushed us up to a more then competitive total of 136 after our 40 overs. Then it was time for us to do it with the ball again at the half way mark belly were sitting at 2 or 3 for 50 odd as well then things were quiet for a little while for us after drinks but with the game on the line with bellbird needing 30 odd with 4 wickets left we switched on and showed that chelly spirit and got the job done just rolling them for 126. All the boys bowled well with rob picking up 2 for 27 off 4 Ridley 2 for 35 off 7 with a few dropped chances tae 1 for 17 off 4 picking up the match winning wicket but the pick of the bowlers were beau taking 2 for 9 off 9 and azz with 3 for 14 off 10 massive effort by the boys amazing fight once again. We move on to the big dance next week against wine country and hope to see everyone out there family friends kids cheering on the chelly army. See more

05.01.2022 So 2nd grade took on local rivals the denman hotel out at baddley 2 on the weekend and after winning his 4th straight coin toss skipper azz sent the denman in to bat on a very dodgey pitch with balls rolling and bouncing at your face. Wickets fell at a consistent rate with tae picking up a couple of early wickets and yatesy when he came on to bowl having the denman at 4 for 75 at drinks after drinks was much the same with the denman putting on another 76 runs being bowled out... for 151. Chief destroyer was yatesy picking up his first 5fa for the chelly and in his career congrats mate. He finished with 5 for 33 off 9.4 tae 2 for 17 off 7 Ridley 1 for 32 off 8 Josh kept his wicket taking form up with 1 for 22 off 4 and rob came on late to take 1 for 7 off 3. Turnbull and corey stepped out to open the batting and taking the first over for 7 thats where it stopped with Turnbull falling early followed not long after by corey dan jmac and brad and in real trouble at 5 for 25 once again we had to rebuild and man of the match yatesy and skipper azz started the long road back batting smart and putting the bad balls away the pair put on 60 odd with yatesy falling for 31 skipper azz then had to watch the last few wickets fall around him for only another 20 odd runs to be all out for 114. Azz finished on 46 not out and corey the only other batsmen to reach double figures with 12. This weekend we travel to bellbird in a gf rematch See more

05.01.2022 Great Batting from Daniel Killen. 125 off 97 balls . His second century for the club and 3rd highest score in our history . Well done mate.

02.01.2022 So another regular season has come to a end with both teams leaving everything out on the field unfortunately for 4th grade there will be no title defence this season with the boys finishing in last place in a comp with 2 weeks to go had 3rd and last place only separated by a few points fighting for finals. They had alot of positives throughout the year with the addition of some new players coming in and stepping up and of course our juniors once again coming along in leaps a...nd bounds. 4ths will now look to build from this season and improve going into next. Onto 2nds the boys had a up and down season this year and finished the season in 3rd place and will once again head into the finals series but on a 5 game winning streak. They will be taking on last years grand finalists bellbird at bellbird and will be looking to use there finals experience to get the job done. We are hoping to get plenty of support out at bellbird this weekend with a 12.30 start this week. Chelly army See more
