Wow what an experience :) Vincents family alone could not afford to get this for their little boy , and Grant Hudson (Childs Vision CEO) was thrilled to be able to assist and organise to make this happen for Vincent! In case you have any questions or enquiries, we of course remain at your disposal. Hereby, we would like to take the opportunity to say thank you for your continued support <3 However, the most important thing is that you please take care of yourself and your loved ones. 20.01.2022 Tuesday, 17th October 2017 The very talented Dean and Scott Rotumah are currently working with Childs Vision and have just started an Aboriginal Art project and Employment program! Childs Vision run these projects to encourage and assist those requiring some help and loved being able to donate to this project for these upcoming artists to purchase the materials required, help teach their own people how to learn more about this amazing art and most important to see them do wha...t they love, while providing the community with some amazing indigenous art in the very near future. These classes will assist in training Deans new team of approx 12 artists, while preparing them to create, paint and sell their own art to local tourists on the Gold Coast especially over the summer holidays tourist rush we see here every year at surfers paradise. Childs Vision chose Dean and Scott as teachers of this project due to their lifelong commitment in painting and selling Aboriginal art in the nth NSW and South Qld regions. Please be sure to stop, take a look at their work and support their amazing work if you see the team around the Coast. Some fun facts about Dean and what he does- You can find more on his own website http://deanrotumah.com/ Aboriginal Artist Dean Rotumah belongs to a clan of people, from Fingal Heads NSW, known as the Booningbah people or Echidna people, which are a part of the Bundjalung nation (meaning the place of butterflies), whose area stretches from Grafton NSW in the south, to Beaudesert Qld in the west, to Coomera Qld in the north. His ancestors have lived on the Far North Coast of New South Wales, Australia, for over 40,000 years and Dean still resides within that district today In his childhood Dean grew up in a predominately Aboriginal community and still maintains a presence in that community today. At the age of 14, he left school and started an apprenticeship as a house painter, which he completed by the age of 19. Dean grew up on the beaches of Fingal Heads where he learnt to ride surfboards and became extremely accomplished. The sport of surfing took over most of his life. Dean has always been influenced by his Indigenous culture and the sea and many of his surfboards had contemporary artwork on them which further involved him in learning more about his cultural heritage through art and thereby honing his skills as a noted Aboriginal contemporary artist. He now resides on the beautiful southern Gold Coast region, doing what he enjoys the mostpainting Aboriginal contemporary artworks for the tourism trade, commissioning and also the export market, and in his spare timesurfing. https://youtu.be/9KLd4RYL2cg

16.01.2022 Tyson conquered his Dolphin dreams & Had a wonderful stay in the Holiday House. Tyson was quiet to begin with, but after some time at the penguins feeding we went to watch the Seal Show, where we really saw the excitement fill Tysons eyes. The family was stoked with their Childs Vision Superfood pack full of nutritionally abundant products. Tyson and his family shared so many priceless moments as we strolled around taking in the wonders and thrill of SeaWorld. Tysons cheek...y smile made an appearance many times, he loved meeting his new dolphin friend, she did jumps and twirls for him, and enjoyed being fed and petted by him and they waved goodbye to each other. It was magic to see him light up and difficult to keep him away from jumping in with him! A truly special moment watching the family enjoy Tysons dolphin meeting. It really is something that stays with you. Tyson & his family enjoyed a lovely lunch together and he got some gifts, as a token to remember the day. Although we are sure the memories of the day will be kept close for a very long time. It was a special day, and a warm loving family was able to create many memories together and enjoy each others company stress free. Tyson & his family also visited the Illness Support Holiday House on the Gold Coast. The whole family had an amazing time away from their every-day life in and out of hospital. Thank you so much to our generous sponsors. Without your help we would be unable to assist these families in need. Thank you so much to SeaWorld and their amazing trainers that make this time so amazing. Thank you everyone for your support.

15.01.2022 Our Childs Vision CEO Grant recently organized to donate a new Ipad to Benjamyn, and we are happy to be helping with support for Benjamyin who was diagnosed with transverse myelitis. His condition makes him loose strength in his muscles , especially on his hands and triceps. Currently, Benjamyn has been helped by physiotherapists and personal trainers who are teaching him some appropriate exercises to improve his muscle function and fitness level. However , due to this Ben h...as difficulty with most tasks requiring use of his hands , its especialy difficult for him to do handwriting and study with basic pens and notebooks so this is a very important tool in helping him with his school work (and of course have some much needed out of school hours fun ). His new Ipad will help him to have a better experience at school and also with his homework, Benjamyn was very excited to receive this help, which will be essential to increase his independence to participate in classes. We here at Childs Vision hope you are enjoying your new Ipad and its making life a little easier for you :)

06.01.2022 Childs vision team organised for Seaworld to help dear Laurens partner this past weekend to help him to create a SURPRISE ENGAGEMENT!!! Lauren has been battling severe illness and deteriorating health issues for quite some time, so the look of pure shock, excitement (and a more than a few tears ) by Lauren when she realised what was happening, that her amazing partner was about to propose to her with the dolphins by their side, was something she never dreamed would happen f...or her! That followed by the news that she was about to go into the water with the Seaworld Dolphins Lauren was having an amazing weekend as you can only imagine! 06.01.2022 HomeLand Project - Main Beach Childs Vision has been working on a project called Homeland that is hoping to utilize the Spit Main Beach Area. This space is being sited to add a casino by overseas developers, although Childs Vision is eager to keep this space on the beach to Aboriginal tribes & community locals who frequently use the area. Adding a casino by overseas developers to this area will mean increased loss of parking & and increase in fees, more traffic, more unwant...ed behaviour (due to alcohol), more gambling (loss for locals). It seems that there is more of a push for tourist advocacy instead of catering to the needs of the local community. The CEO of Childs Vision is the head of this project and he is advocating for his local community and the indigenous peoples who once again are at the back of this decision to add another casino that is on the bottom of the tourism list on the already greatly populated Gold Coast. This project boasts aboriginal originality & culture, providing traditional foods, accommodation, dances, Storytimes, walkabouts, while having the opportunity to teach the local and visiting community what it means to be an Aboriginal Australian. This project is backed by some big names that are not being released although, should we really have to be asking to have what belongs on land that was stolen from the Aboriginals.

06.01.2022 An amazing fundraiser event was recently organised by Lauren and her amazing organisation Hidden Door Experiences , to surprise and bring some smiles to some kids that Childs Vision are able to help support. Childs vision and the children that were gifted were completely grateful with this act of solidarity and excited to receive and play with all their new presents. A huge thank you to Lauren for her contribution and effort to make smile this kids that are passing on a difficult situation. Please be sure to check out the work they do at - https://www.hiddendoor.com.au/

02.01.2022 Joshua's Miss Multiverse Dinner Date Surprise! Joshua and his mother have been having a hard time at the moment due to him recently turning 17 & having his oxygen tank taken off him by his local hospital, due to age restrictions. Joshuas health has been disintegrating slowly throughout the years although this push to take his tank off him has decreased his health even further to the point of lowering his life expectancy down by 50%. ... Childs Vision makes sure to stay in close contact with the children and families that we support & heard about this news and how it was affecting Joshua and his family. Childs Vision wanted to try and relieve some of this stress by taking them out for a special meal at the café where his mums spends alone in tears normally but this was changed as we took one of Joshuas favourite volunteers who flew all the way up from Melbourne to spend some time with him and his mother. Ashton a current Miss Multiverse contestant is currently raising funds to support the family financially. Joshua was more than happy to see Ashton & over the moon that she flew up to see him. Its moments like these that make Childs Vision appreciate the work that they do as it is measured by the smiles on the young childrens faces when we can fulfil a long awaiting wish of theirs. The CEO Grant Hudson also took time out of his busy schedule to entertain his guests.

01.01.2022 This past week Childs Vision visited Mudgeeraba Special School to draw the winners of our Huge 2017 Childs Vision Christmas Raffle, which included a massive $5000+ in awesome prizes!!! Our CEO Grant Hudson was very excited to be able to be a part of the event and deliver all the prizes to the school to be handed out to all the lucky winners. Childs Vision wish to say a HUGE Thank You to the staff at Mudgeeraba Special School for all their continued support and making this raf...fle such a huge success and of course all those who supported it by buying tickets and sharing in this fun event. Christmas time is the most exciting and magical time of the year for kids everywhere. But the harsh reality for families with children that have terminal and life threatening illnesses or injuries, is that the mounting financial pressures can dull the Christmas sparkle. Many families we help spend Christmas in Hospital with their kids and thousands on treatments and care, simply unable to afford the Christmas luxuries they would otherwise enjoy with their kids. We here at Childs Vision aim to help the kids and their families who we support be able to enjoy and be a little more festive by helping them a little during the Christmas season. A massive Thank You to all our amazing sponsors who donated the awesome prizes for our 2017 Christmas raffle and of course Congratulations to all the winners!!! We here at Childs Vision wish you a Very Merry Christmas :)
