24.01.2022 Our executive chef Ashley Ryan took a trip down to Albany to see how local fisherman Eric Tranthem braves the cold to catch the little known sand crab. Widely considered by-catch, or even a pest by the locals, the 'toe nipper' is anything but. Its sweet meat is delicious, numbers are plentiful and its sustainably caught. Clancy's are thrilled to be working with Eric and the Western Australian Fishing Industry to bring sand crabs to Perth menus.
