04.01.2022 Master Ensuite and its a tie! The judges could not separate these two rooms last night and you can see why. Jimmy & Tam’s 1950’s Palm Springs look with its conf...ident and gorgeous pink tiles and brass tapware has captured the era with incredible style. Luke & Jasmine get on the winners board with their stunning bathroom that included a perfect 10. From the beautifully finished curved feature wall displaying high quality tiling; the modern shower screens to the gorgeous feature bath, it was luxury all the way and the judges loved how the couple backed themselves on their design choices. Two gorgeous bathrooms, both with instant wow factor.

Usin...g these for inspiration, you could recreate these easy and fun beach box stripes to brighten up the kids cubby, the dog house or even the garden shed. 03.01.2022 It really only takes 1 product to give your bathroom a whole new look! Check out this fantastic bathroom mini-makeover before and after photos by one of our cu...stomers. The result is just amazing considering the most striking change was from the clever use of Dulux ‘Reno’ tile paint, an economical renovation solution with a very contemporary finish. Say goodbye to the dated feel without going through the costly exercise of removing and replacing a wall of tiles. Making a couple of other changes really took this bathroom to the next level. The vanity top was sanded back to reveal a lovely timber grain, and then finished off with a clear benchtop varnish to protect it from moisture. The modern look was completed with the change to black tapware and accessories, it’s now a completely different room. Mighty Helpful Tip: when using the Dulux ‘Reno’ tile paint, it’s necessary to sand back the tiles first but this is where our customer encountered a hurdle. Despite several attempts, the sander was not making any impact on the tile surface and when testing the paint, it would not stick. Unsure of what to do, she returned to the store and had a chat with the paint specialist. They realised the old tiles were actually porcelain and porcelain tiles do not sand! In this instance, we recommended to use a product called ESP (Easy Surface Prep) which is a ‘no more sanding agent’ and it was exactly what she needed to make it work. The results speak for themselves! This bathroom has been transformed thanks to a few changes, the DIY surface changes a fun and very rewarding project to undertake. Thank you for sharing your story.
