14.01.2022 So we promised some big news. Well the CDCA Girls Cricket group are dreaming big and looking to establish a local Youth & Womens Cricket Competition in the upcoming season. Aimed at those teenage girls needing to up the challenge from Stage 1 and for those developing or new womens players. With the best of the local talent aiming to still playing in Irrewarras team in the Barwon Womens Competition. Hopefully for atleast a four team competition over 10 weeks. 9 players each side in a T20 format played likely on a Sunday afternoon. We believe we have the basis of 3 teams already established; Irrewarra Youth, Irrewarra womens reserves, Pomborneit Bull womens. Hoping a few other clubs are keen to establish a team in the competition. So whos keen to play?

14.01.2022 NEW TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT: With open arms we welcome the "Pelicans" to the new CDCAs Youth Womens Cricket Competition. Great to have our second club onboard from just over the boarder in the South West Cricket Competition. We cant wait to see the Bookaar womens team in action this season.

02.01.2022 Weather interrupted the concluding stages of the Rd 2 action of the Youth Women's Competition. A result was still achieved in both games under the wet weather rules. Wins to Pomborneit over Bookaar and to Irrewarra Youth over Pomborneit A. In our junior girls competition Apollo Bay, Irrewarra and Colac 1 had wins this morning.

01.01.2022 Cricket Victoria are running another online Girls Leadership Forum on 27th August from 10:00am-11:30am. Its for girls in years 7 & 8 at school. This one will have a special focus around the lockdown and the things we can do to stay in the positive mindset whilst going through the challenges we are currently facing such as being isolated from family and friends, moving to remote learning/working from home and missing out on the things that we love to do. Let us know if you know someone interested in taking part.
