06.01.2022 Homelessness Week 2020 - the team at Community Assist and Helping Heroes Rehabilitation made up care packs of daily essentials to donate to Mission Australia to help the homeless. Homelessness Australia currently uses statistics from the ABS Census of Housing and Population and the AIHW Specialist Homeless Services data collection for their statistics. The ABS Census is conducted every five years, with the most recent release being for 2016. 116,427 people were counted in th...e Census as being homeless on Census night (up from 102,439 in 2011). There is plenty to do for your little adventurers with the flying fox, nature play area, musical instruments and climbing equipment. The all-abilities playspace features the first Communication Board, which helps make communication accessible for those who are non-verbal, as well as a changing place for those who cannot use standard accessible toilets. The $2M playspace completes Stage Two of the Fremont Park redevelopment and complements this beautiful community space. We secured grant funding toward your new playspace our thanks to Green Adelaide ‘Places for People’ grant and the SA Government, Department of Premier and Cabinet.
