24.01.2022 Running can be your greatest weapon or your own worst enemy Not only does poor technique slow you down and make you work harder (especially in the last quarter), it also wears your joints down a little at a time, or worse, leads to unwanted time spent on the sideline with an injury. Some of the main culprits to this is poor posture, over-striding or arms being out of sync with legs and can be corrected with the proper program and guidance.... When it comes to fixing technique, applying some drills in which can improve durability, efficiency, and movement patterns can assist running faster for longer. Furthermore, focusing on low-intensity drills that address posture, running gate and arm drive can serve as building the necessary base to reduce overuse injuries, These are quick and easy to apply drills that can be done as a warm-up before your main training to ensure that you can run faster for longer. These drills include: 1. Lift and place 2. Wall Drill 3. A Skip 4. B Skip (Not shown) 5. Dead legs 6. OH March (Not shown) For more advice on how to properly develop a solid running foundation for 2021, please give us a message to book an initial consultation
