Nougat, wild honey, flint and lemon essence - complex nose - oak adding a smoky and toasty element. Fresh as a daisy; stonefruits meld seamlessly with lemon pith and grapefruit. A tease of sweetness on the mid-palate unfurls with time in the glass. A beautifully crafted, cool-climate expression. Drink 20192027. 19.01.2022 2015. Cooks Lot Allotment 333 Riesling What Huon thinks... 95 Points ... Light to medium yellow colour, with a candlewax and beeswax bouquet, the latter adding a subtle honey note. It also has citrus notes including mandarin and lemon, the palate fresh and zesty, lively and crisply dry but loaded with lovely lemon, lime and mandarin fruit flavours. 03.01.2022 Cracking review from Qwine Friday, 20 April 2018 Cooks Lot Allotment 1010 Shiraz 2016... It gets boring repeatedly saying that these Cooks Lot wines are such great value. Oh well, here we go again I suppose. Super cool climate Shiraz for $23. Boom! A slick piece from top to toe. There's much to admire about how jam-packed it is with personality yet the asking price always seems too cheap. Dark berry and dark cherry fruit are partnered by lashings of cracked black pepper, oak char and aniseed. A fine rub of tannin leaves an almost powdery feel in the mouth urging for another sip. A great wine for nix. Drink now to six years. 93/100

WINEMAKING Handpicked Pinot Noir was cold soaked for 3 days prior to micro fermenting in 900L French rotating barriques, with some whole bunches by wild yeast.The Barriques were rotated 9 times per day and followed by a 3 day post-ferment maceration.The Free run juice and pressings were barrelled separately for 18 months. Only the finest barriques were selectively blended to make this wine. Spicy, complex bouquet with charming, ripe cherry fruit showing out on top. A complex, finely-structured, delicious pinot.
