17.01.2022 If you have been involved in Dog incident please contact the CGRC after hours number on 1300 459 689. That is the procedure put in place that the Ranger needs to work by. If you have lost a Pet you can report them as Lost or you can see if they have been sized by a Council Ranger on the CGRC website. https://www.cgrc.nsw.gov.au//regulatory/lost-found-animals/... Please remember to microchip and register (it is the law!) your pets and ensure that the information on their microchip are current and up to date.

15.01.2022 Owner has been found Are you missing a black cat wearing a collar? Our ranger has picked up a deceased cat that unfortunately not mircochipped. Found Hurley street end of parker street.

13.01.2022 PLEASE REMEMBER THAT OUR FIREWORKS ARE ON TONIGHT! A dog can hear 10 times better than a human. Fireworks typically explode at a staggering 145-150 decibels, so these explosions can be terrifyingly frightening and loud. As many animals have a fear of fireworks they often injure themselves trying to escape the noise. Some dogs will jump or dig under fences. Others find their way onto busy roads and can be struck by vehicles.... If you’re not going to be at home, make sure you provide them with a safe, secure and comfortable environment. Whenever possible, bring your pet indoors. Here are some simple steps to minimise firework and storm stress in pets: *Ensure your pets are wearing ID tags and their microchip details are up to date. *Ensure your pets are exercised and well fed before the fireworks start. *keep your animals indoors in a safe, secure and comfortable environment. *Leave the TV or radio on to mask any sounds. Remove any sharp objects that might cause injury to a panicking animal. *If your pets are particularly prone to fireworks or storm panic, stay at home with them.

01.01.2022 A severe weather warning has been issued for our area. **A strong cold front will reach western NSW later today, then move through central and eastern areas during Thursday, preceded by vigorous winds and widespread rainfall. The focus for the strongest winds and heaviest rain is expected to be across the Southwest Slopes and Alpine areas.*** Some tips as the temperatures drop!! ... *If possible bring pets indoors *Ensure that your pets have shelter from the rain and wind with a warm blanket. *Dress for weather - if possible put jacket on your dog especially older and short haired. *Outdoor dogs and cats actually burn off more calories in winter than they do in summer because they are trying to keep themselves warm so expect that they are going to be a little hungrier. Please keep an eye on your pets!
