21.01.2022 If you're planning on making a trip to our Bayside Waste & Recycling Centre there are a few important rules to follow to ensure your trip is as safe and easy as possible this holiday season: All visitors must obey staff directions & posted signage All visitors must wear closed footwear Children to stay in vehicle at all times... Present receipt to staff when asked All visitors must report to the weighbridge Give way to pedestrians Drug and alcohol free site Smoking is not permitted onsite 10km is the maximum speed for this site Courtesy tools (shovels, brooms, rakes) are available on request Activate hazard/warning lights Accidents must be reported (please report hazards, accidents & near misses to the weigh bridge) No poisons, chemicals or prescribed goods (eg asbestos) Refrain from climbing on your vehicle to remove waste (when possible) If you have any queries, feel free to ask one of our friendly staff members on site!

11.01.2022 Important Customer Notice: CopperRock is currently accepting paint at our Bayside Waste & Recycling Centre in limited quantities. Currently paint collections are limited therefore paint drop offs may not always be available. If you plan on dropping off some paint, please call prior to ensure paint drop off is available. In the meantime, here are some tips for storing or disposing of your paint: Please remember that paints cannot be poured down household or storm water drain...s. Water-based paints can be hardened into a solid block with a waste paint hardener, which can then be stored without the risk of spilling until paint disposal centres reopen. Small amounts of solvent-based paints can be disposed of any pouring it onto an absorbent material such as shredded paper, newspaper or kitty litter and allowing it to dry before putting it in with your general waste. Empty paint tins can always be placed in your recycling bin, and empty cans can be brought to CopperRock for free. Batteries (Car or E-Waste) Both car batteries and e-waste batteries can be recycled To recycle car or e-waste batteries, bring them to a dedicated recycling centre (like CopperRock's Bayside Recycling Centre!) Bicycles Bicycles cannot be recycled You can donate your old bicycle to @b4hmelbourne, or dispose of your broken bicycle at our Bayside Waste & Recycling Centre Biodegradable Packaging Biodegradable packing cannot be recycled Biodegradable packaging must be put into your general waste bin - it is designed to break down in these conditions, making recycling unnecessarily Blankets Blankets cannot be recycled For blankets that are in good condition, you can donate them to your local Op Shop or collection drive.
