25.01.2022 Watch this space: looking forward to announcing some really big news in the next few weeks!!

25.01.2022 Hi all, just an update Point Pass Endurance ride this weekend 15/16 August, looking forward to seeing everyone out there with the biggest smiles. Offering 20, 40 and 80km

24.01.2022 Well what a great weekend weather wise. It also seen the start to the return of Endurance with Sandy Creek Return being run on sunday. Cougar Swan Dixie was entered in the 40km. This ride was unusual for me as i didnt have my beautiful Shari to ride. So the nerves were up there (even tho Dixie is my horse and i originally qualified her lol) she knew it was time to do her job. So 10am off we set, now being a trainer we were time limited minimum tome of 3hrs to complete it and ...maximum of 5hrs. She was keen and just decided off we went. I was more concerned about my ankle which held up quite well. I had hoped the hills would slow this horse down but nope she was a freight train. Instead of fighting her i just went with her which made for an easier ride. We crossed the line in 3hrs 20mins and vetted through great. This horse just gives her all and doesn't stop. Cant wait to see her achieve her first 80km as an open horse at Point Pass on 15/16 August 2020 I would like to thank all the supporters, friends and family that follow me with this sport. Valley Enterprises all my horse feed and supplements Prydes Easifeeds Evolution Animal Care all the joint supplements and Inside-out Barossa-Renovations for their continued support Thank you all again See more

23.01.2022 Oh geez what a weekend!! This weekend took us to Starkey's Endurance Ride which was in Mt Crawford forest. So shaaron and i get to ride base only for me to discover i forgot the damn droppers. So had to give our wonderful Tania Drever to see if she had spare thankfully she did which saved us. Once set up we went and vetted shaaron & Cougar Swan Dixie and myself with the one and only Nicari Shareefa aka Shari. For a horse that has beaten cancer twice, we didnt think she would... ever be a ridden horse again or compete. But nothing keeps this little horse down. She is my mini Phar Lap, gutsiest little horse i know and im so proud to call her mine. 6am start and both girls were very keen. The scenery was beautiful, and photos dont show it justice. Plenty of skippys out there and a family of emu's apparently there was deer but we missed them lol. Thank you to shaaron for being my riding partner always a laugh out on track. Thank you to the course markers, ride organisers, vets, chief steward, gate keepers, pencillors, Ride secretary, check pointers, time keepers and also water carter if it wasnt for all the volunteers there us no way we could enjoy or have this sport, so a BIG THANK YOU!! We did it in 6hrs 44mins to pick up 3rd place, she will now require a new book as that was the last page for her. Shari was picked yo be swabbed which is a first for us both and i was intrigued in what happens so we can tick off that we have had that happen. Also a huge THANK YOU to Lachie from Cameron Veterinary Services for everything he did with Shari and her tumor. She is still going stromg today because of his expertise. Thank you goes out to Terry and Suzy for having the kids, if it wasnt for them it would be very difficult to do this sport. Also a big thank you to my wonderful sponsors Valley Enterprises in Tanunda for keeping my pony fed and looking great. Contact Tyson Gordon and he will help you with all your equine feeds and supplements, farming gear and even the odd chicken lol. Thank you to Caroline and family from Barossa-Renovations for their continuing support and sponsorship. Without the support of family and friends i wouldnt get very far. So THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!! Enjoy some of the photos and video. See more

22.01.2022 Introducing the handsome Currowan Zamell Ya Allah aka Cougar recently gelded he will be out training this year and attending a few local shows. His endurance season will start 2021. Again big thanks to Cameron Veterinary Services for his excellent service and care of my horses. Lachie is a mobile vet so will come to you. Contact him for all your on farm needs

20.01.2022 Hi all, when was the last time you had your horse float, caravan, camper serviced?? I get mine done every year, with the amount of kms we travel to get to rides, the condition of roads and dirt roads combined it is worth getting your trailer looked at. I had Elite Mobile Caravan Service come to me to service my float, i can now travel knowing my trailer is safe and the precious cargo on board. Contact Peter now to book your trailer in.

14.01.2022 Hi to all my supporters and followers, as we are approaching the start up of the endurance season again. I have some good news and not so good news. So i will start with the Bad news. Nicari Shareefa aka Shari has been fully retired now due to her face friend Mastocytosis or known as a Mast Cell Tumor. Unfortunately it hasn't been smooth sailing as the lump is back bigger then what we had cut out (which is not great news at all). Its only been just over 2 weeks since her surg...ery. We weren't expecting it to grow back as quick as it has. So the plan we have in place now we will watch it for awhile and see how it grows. If it gets too big then i will have to make the choice on trying the treatment which is more surgery and chemotherapy or the choice i really cant think about atm. This mare is my best friend and has helped me so much over the last few years. On some good news I have added Currown Zamell Ya Allah to the endurance team. He was my stallion but today became a gelding which will give him a better lease on life and he will be able to be shown later this year. I am excited to see where this boy goes. He wont be in my Purple and Black gear he will be flying the flag for Valley Enterprises wearing Blue and Black colours. Shaaron and I are hosting an Endurance ride out at Point Pass Speedway Track (Between Eudunda and Robertstown) on the 15th and 16th August. We will have 20 & 40km on Saturday and 20, 40 & 80km on the Sunday. More details will be out soon. If anyone would like to volunteer that would be greatly appreciated. Covid Rules will apply. We will also have special guests making an appearance. Looking forward to catching up with everyone. Thank you to everyone that supports, follows and keeps in touch I cant thank you enough. Follow your dreams and goals!

14.01.2022 Hi all, well the results from Nicari Shareefa aka Shari are back. She has been diagnosed with Mast cell Tumor on the Maxilla. Sharimwill be seeing the vet on Tuesday to find the next game plan. I will keep everyone up to date with her progress. Please send your positive vibes to her. Sharinwill now be out for the rest of the 2020 Endurance season while she is receiving treatment. As i am currently sponsored i will be riding my other great mare Cougar Swan Dixie aka Dixie, thi...s horse has big hoof boots to fill but i am sure we can do well as a team again. Dixie was the horse i qualified myself from the start so we already have a great bond. Stay tuned for more adventures with her. I would just like to take the time to thank you all for the on going support and kindness you all give. Stay tuned for further updates on Shari as well. Photos added below Cheers Amanda

11.01.2022 Wow what a weekend!! Point Pass ride organised by myself and Shaaron Coe. First up i have to say the biggest thank you to Shaaron Coe for being my right hand gal if it wasn't for you this ride would have not gone ahead. The help before and after and being RO on the day so that i could ride. Next up is to Lainie Ray for being our Chief Steward she was our Boss Lady and she does her job well again rides not possible without her. A big thank you to our vets, Wendy Grundy, Krista... Marie, Jorja Gibbons and her mum, Megan Brown and her mum, Kathy Baldock, Emma Mitchell, Annette Broughton Farrow and Mark, Gypsy Rain, Melissa Bright and Kelsey Bright, Andrew Luck (Jodie Luck) for being on gate manning and if i have forgotten anyone i am so very sorry but THANK YOU!! If it wasnt for all of you there is no way we could do our sport so THANK YOU SO MUCH!! The weather held up and was beautiful along with the views on top of the range. I am always so happy to see everyone smiling and thats what we had yesterday. So again thank you to all our volunteers and also our riders for making Point Pass Endurance Ride a success. Maybe another in the future!! As most know Nicari Shareefa aka Shari was diagnosed with a mast cell tumor back in March, she had it removed in June by Cameron Veterinary Services and i had thought that might have been the end of her career as it was not healing properly. After a few weeks in the paddock (much to her disgust as she hates paddock life, she is a work horse she seems to think) I had consulted with her vet to bring her back into work, well ridden work (she runs the paddock daily due to hating being paddocked). I decided to take her to Point Pass Ride which showed she was keen (these tracks are where we train). 6am rolled around and off we set up the hill to begin our adventure. Shari just wanted to go go go and was arguing with me most of the day. The views were amazing and the atmosphere was great. We finished the ride in 6hrs 33mins and placing 2nd which i was over the moon with. We had the opportunity to attend BC and i was debating about going in but Jodie Luck was gonna kick me in the butt and she also said she would call Jody Smith so i got off me butt and got my pony ready for BC. And wow i am so thankful they did because Shari won Best Conditioned. I am so so so proud of this pony and her can do attitude, sometimes i wonder if she is half human. Shari is a one a million horse and gives anything a go. I would like to thank you all my supporters, family and friends for following me on my sporting journey.

11.01.2022 Cougarswan Blue Heelers has a new litter of puppies. 1 male left for sale PM me for more information!

10.01.2022 Who can guess the ears?

10.01.2022 Well there is only a week to go till our last ride of the season for South Australia's Endurance Riders Club. We are headed to the lovely Kuitpo Forest. This forest hasnt been nice to me in recent years so i have the goal of kicking the monkey off my back. Nicari Shareefa aka Shari and I can do this. Keep posted to hear the outcome after the ride. Also unfortunately there will be no SA Endurance Championships this year (thanks Covid-19). So we will be heading over the border... to NSW to compete at Bondo Forest, Tumut. This will be the first interstate 160km that we have competed in. I am looking forward to the drive over and experiencing another beautiful piece of Australia. I would like to thank the following businesses that have been apart of this amazing journey: Valley Enterprises Pryde's EasiFeed Nicki Samson-Ward - Kiwi Express Equine & Canine Physiokey Let it Be Bowen Therapy Evolution Animal Care Barossa-Renovations These businesses have had a very big helping hand with keeping Shari feeling and looking good. And myself feeling great! Check out there facebook pages and let them help you. Will check back after Kuitpo!! Have a great weekend!!

09.01.2022 Hi all, sorry it has been quiet. We were still training up till Nicari Shareefa (Shari) had a strange lump come up on her cheek. Unfortunately it grew 3 times it size so she was taken to the vet to have a biopsy done on what they think is a tumour. We are still awaiting results and soon as they are back i will update you all as soon as i know! As some know Shari was diagnosed with Melanomas back in 2017 and had a treatment vaccine which was a success. So this new lump has me concerned. Thank you all wjp support myself and my team of horses.

06.01.2022 Well what a weekend at Monarto Endurance Ride! Nicari Shareefa and Cougar Swan Dixie exceeded expectations of the weekend and really shown through. Dixie was ridden by Shaaron Coe they are proving to be a great team together. They did the 80kms in 6hrs 51 mins to earn them a 2nd place in Middleweight and 3rd over the line, a big congratulations to them both. Bring on Mil-Lel Marathon. Shari was ridden by myself in the 80km in the time of 6hrs 51mins and earned ourselves 1st L...ightweight, Best Conditioned and 2nd over the line. Shari is feeling great and performing really well. I would like to give a BIG THANK YOU to the following supporters: Kelato Animal Health #fellwellperformwell, #teamkelato, #gotokelato, #kelatoanimalhealth Valley Enterprises For all their performance feeds and supplements Nicki Samson-Ward - Equine Physiokey Therapist for the girls body treatments, keeping them moving and feeling free Without all the support of these great business our achievements wouldnt keep my horses sound or moving well. So again THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for being apart of the Cougar Swan Team!!

06.01.2022 As an update to the Covid-19 dilemma unfortunately endurance rides have been put on hold! Our training is still going ahead as normal. Will update as thongs progress. Thank you to my wonderful sponsors and supporters, family and friends!

02.01.2022 Update on Shari!! Its been a week without her face friend the tumor. Also have results which confirms its a Mast Cell Tumor (will get its name at a later date). She has been off her food but got a feeling its due to standing around not doing anything. I have attached a photo of what it looks like today. She will h ave another check up next week with Cameron Veterinary Services Dr. Lachie (Who Shari actually likes ). I would just like to give a shoutout to Evolution Animal Ca...re for their brillant product In-Silver spray on bandage, it has kept Shari's wound very clean and protected. Worth having in your vet box, order online or call in and see Tyson and his staff at Valley Enterprises to get yours!! On some other news Endurance is coming back woohoo. At this point we are unsure what the future holds for Shari but in the mean time i will start competing Dixie again. I will have a new horse in the team for 2021 which i will introduce in the next weeks. Keep watching this space for even more exciting news to be shared very soon. And to meet the team of horses that makes up Cougar Swan Performance Horses!! Take Care, Stay Safe Amanda
