23.01.2022 Being mindful of Covid 19 restrictions Cowra U3A and Cowra Meals on Wheels celebrated International Day of Happy older Persons with a low key morning tea at the Cowra Senior Citizens Centre. Food was delicious and we shared many humurous quotes and short stories about ageing. We even had a great rendition of a poem set to 'My Favourite Things'. Thanks everone for a great morning and Stay Safe everyone.



23.01.2022 Tomorrow at U3A Halloween, looking at superstitions Next tuesday Melbourne Cup Day, numbers needed for lunch at cost of $5.00. Should be a great day with Hats, Trivia and sweeeps.

23.01.2022 Observing social distancing and excercising some of us have been doing Tai Chi in Brougham Park on Tuesday and Thursday at 10.00 am.

23.01.2022 A great day was had celebrating Melbourne Cup. Lots of fascinaters, poems, trivia, seweeps and good food then a glass of champers while we watched the Cup.

20.01.2022 Tuesday 17 December come and join us for a game of Crazy Whist at the Cowra Senior Citizens Club in Railway Lane between 11.00 am and 2.30 pm. This is a fun card game where you move around and get to partner most of the participants. We were all beginners not so long ago and very willing to help people who have not played before or who are a bit rusty. You don"t have to be a member to come along for a fun day with a finger food lunch all for the low cost of $5.00.

18.01.2022 Great Christmas lunch was enjoyed by all following the Senior Citizens 50th Celebration morning tea yesterday. The Cowra Singers entertained us,Norm Palazzi and Robyn had some terrif poems for us, the U3A skit Goldilocks and Three Bears was well recieved and a lot of fun was had with the Blind Auction, the proceeds of this will go to the Salvation Army and St Vincent de Paul. Big thanks to those that help with decorating the hall, providing food etc. We wish everyone a very Happy Christmas and look forward to a great 2020. We are operating up to the 20th of December.

10.01.2022 Observing social distancing what a great day we had celebrating Melbourne Cup day with trivia, horse racing games, delicious lunch and watching the race. Thanks to everyone who provided the food and congrats to all sweep winner's.

09.01.2022 Showing how seniors 'Love to Celebrate' a fun morning tea at the Senior Citizens Club we all enjoyed lots of good food, lots of trivia, lots of poetry and a bit of the history of Valentine's Day.

07.01.2022 Term I got of to a good start with members enrolling for 2020 program. Timetables for Term I are available at the Senior Citizens Club in Railway Lane Cowra. In phot Treasurer Bev Rolfe writes out receipts watched by President Robyn Ambachtsheer and member Judy Fazzari. New members are welcome and we encourage people to come along for a few sessions before they committ to enrolling. Call in to the Senior Citizens Club between 9.00 am and 12.30 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays fo9r more informatiom.

07.01.2022 Alan entertained us with lovely classical guitar at the listening to music session on Tuesday.

06.01.2022 We had a fun morning playing Sportability Games with a team of 4 people from Weerona. Quoits and Seated Volley Ball were played and there was lots of laughter . U3A also demonstrated seated Hockey with Pool Noodle Sticks. We look forward to doing this again next year.

05.01.2022 What a great day we had at the Trivia even though we came 5th. Thanks to everyone who helped to get it all together and to those that helped on the day.

04.01.2022 What a great lot of items we produced for Cancer Council month of knitting beanies and scarfs. Next year we plan to knit more beanies and scarfs to go to christmas boxes prepared here in Cowra, so keep knitting and crochetering. Thanks everyone.
