21.01.2022 A typically classy innings sees Western District Cricket Club's Blake Dean awarded this week's ACT Premier Cricket Player of the Week. Smashing 180 off just 127 balls, Blake combined with Nicholas Broes for an opening stand of 251 in first grade. Talk about a tough day for bowlers!!

09.01.2022 The cricket world is in mourning today following the tragic and sudden death of Dean Jones, one of Australia’s greatest cricketers. Deano has a special place in Canberra’s history as he played two Prime Minister’s XI matches, both against the West Indies, one in 1983/84 and another in 1992/93. He played in arguably the greatest PM’s side of all time in 92/93 scoring 76 runs. We send our sincerest condolences to his loved ones.

09.01.2022 Did you know it costs just $26 to fund a potentially life changing call? Last Thursday we held the second annual All Stars for Mental Health match and we are thrilled to announce we raised $1,311 for Lifeline Canberra to provide essential mental health services in our region. That’s 50 members of our community who will benefit from Lifeline services. We knew this year would look different with COVID restrictions on all venues, members of our community doing it tough, and s...ome threatening weather looming all day before the match! Despite all these challenges, our community and partners came together and far exceeded expectations. Thank you so much to everyone who came and enjoyed the cricket (before the rains came!) and donated so generously and congratulations to the lucky winners of our raffle draw who were contacted this week!
