24.01.2022 We would like to thank all our Customer, Friends and Family for their help, support and well wishes during this time. Due to the Social Distancing Laws we have been a little short staffed, however we are doing the best we possibly can to get all orders and enquiries as quick as we possibly can. Sadly some customers have had orders delayed due to the challenges presented by the pandemic mean there are delays as post and all couriers additional extra safety measures to protec...t their people and our customers. Other factors contributing to delays include fewer domestic flights, international delays and increased volumes as more people start shopping online. With the spike in online shopping, Australia Post are processing and delivering up to two million parcels a day across Australia. These pics are of the loading docks at some of the Aus Post facilities. They're usually empty, except for a couple crates here and there.... 20.01.2022 COVID-19 Update as of the 28th of October YES we are still OPEN to phone orders, online sales and click and collect orders! Sadly our Showroom is still CLOSED to customers at this time.... While Victoria is beginning to take its first steps out of lockdown, due to the circumstances we have chosen to keep our retail store closed at this time. The health and safety of our customers and staff remains our first priority. We are ensuring that we have a COVID safe plan in place, and we will reopen our showroom in due time. Showroom will be remaining closed until further notice. We will continue to offer click & collect during this time and our phone room remains open, 8:30 - 5:30pm AEDT Monday to Friday, to take your orders. 19.01.2022 **Deliveries and Shipping Update** With Victoria Shutting the Boarders once again due to Covid. We are still able to get orders picked packed and sent to you. We take every precaution to maintain a healthy and safe environment for us as well as our Staff.... Australia Post is still doing pick up and deliveries and were possible we send the majority of our orders with Express Post to get your order to you ASAP. We also Use Toll and Hunter Express for our Over sized or Heavy Items. They too are still doing pick ups and deliveries, however there maybe some delays due to the extra steps that everyone needs to take to not only protect themselves but our customers and their Families. It is not just us as many others in the area are having the same issue. We do have caller ID so we are taking down numbers and calling people back if possible. There may also be more time between tracking updates. This has been driven by the current situation in Victoria, the wider increase in parcel numbers and COVID-19 restrictions across the country which have impacted deliveries and services. Changes to our network capacity in Victoria from Stage 4 restrictions We've been required to reduce our workforce capacity in our processing facilities in Melbourne and introduce split shifts. Many Victorian deliveries need to go via Sydney for sorting overnight due to the restriction on team members in Victoria. Online buying has increased in Victoria as people are unable to visit the shops which has sent parcel volumes skyrocketing. On some days, over 80% of parcels being sent and received in Australia are coming from, or end up in Victoria. What this means for your delivery You may notice when tracking your parcel, that it is coming from a different location than you're used to. This is to make sure we are using all the extra capacity available in our network to process parcels as safely and quickly as we can. 14.01.2022 Please refer to the below messages from our Club President Dear members, Well by now I was hoping we would all be close to catching up and meetings could retur...n. It appears that it will not be the case at least for two or more months depending on what transpires regarding COVID transmissions. So I guess we stay at home and polish the cars just a little more. I did manage a trip to the go cart track with my grandson. The social distancing was in place and when in a cart you cannot get to close, although as I found out the combative juices flow and you can see how addictive motor racing is. We used to have a night out at the go carts with races for the young, races for the ladies, mixed races and finally races for the most combative. I remember Graham Bell’s daughter at quite a young age was very competitive and could handle a cart very well. I am missing meetings dreadfully and hoping that sometime soon we can all get back to some normality. I fear as the time gets closer there may be no roundup this year. Rest assured, if things change suddenly the committee who are still meeting and working away so when the tick comes to start your engines let’s make it something special, like the end of Covid round up. Thank you to all those that sent in renewals and remember you need to be a current member to drive your club plated vehicle. I drive mine in and out of work every now and then to keep them alive. Now just a thought I had was following along from the AFL and NRL we could introduce a hub. I am proposing taking over the spirt of Tasmania filling it with cars floating around for 10 days so we are all nicely quarantined then pulling into Davenport unloading the cars finding a quiet beautiful spot in Tassie of which there are plenty set up a hub and play cars. 12.01.2022 Some people have had issues getting to us. If you are coming from city / Dandenong way please be aware that there are detours in place and some delays due to traffic build up. Please use east link or south Gippsland Highway and come down or up Hall / Rutherford Road. 05.01.2022 We would like to thank our Wonderful Customers, Friends, Family and Staff during the last crazy few months. As with many businesses we have had staff shortages, more online and phone orders and had our fair share of delays with freight due to Flight restrictions and border closures. To also add to that a splash of Home Learning it has been a bit of a crazy few months for everyone. Sadly we have not been able to get to all the emails that we usually would have or been able to... call everyone back that we intended.
