11.01.2022 My son told me about the Holy Bible App (I used a different one) and this app has daily bible verses, but also has reading plans and devotions. It also shares... when your friends who have this app read certain plans or create a scripture meme. Its pretty cool. Today I was reading in my third day of a devotional written by Kathy Lee Gifford called, The Rock, The Road and the Rabbi. She shares of her experience in Israel. There was a guide who asked the group, "Who knows what Jesus did before he began preaching?" Everyone said, Carpenter to which the guide says, "No, Jesus was not a carpenter., though he did work with wood." The group was wide-eyed thinking how our translations of Gods word say that He was a carpenter. He went on to explain that the Greek word for Carpenter is tekton which means builder. And in those days, they built with stone. Jesus was a stone mason. And that makes sense with the many references to stones in scripture. I just thought that was neat. If you need help in getting in Gods word more, this app is beyond just a verse of the day. Its fun and had a variety of ways to help us in our daily growth. Psalm 118:22
