25.01.2022 Yesterday was another training day. No one ever wants to put what they have learnt in to real practice but last night that’s exactly what they did. We send our thoughts to the poor businesses that unfortunately couldn’t be saved.

25.01.2022 We will be helping the Mill out with some pile burns tomorrow. So if you smell or see smoke don’t panic it is only us guys. We would like to say a big congratulation to Calum Patterson Ian McVay Jodie Thomas and Chrissy Taylor for passing their BF course and now able to hop on the trucks for callouts.

25.01.2022 Remember that burning tree a few weeks back, this is it. Still smoldering a little bit but not anymore. Tuesday night training and a great turn out. The newbies are getting their hands dirty and learning along the way.

20.01.2022 Ok everyone Santa has been busy getting all the lollies made ready for the Santa run. I have noticed people saying times well hear it here from Santa. The run starts at Kianga 1-1.30 on the 24th and through to Dalmeny after he has spread his love at the nursing homes. Listen out you will hear him coming.

19.01.2022 Finally able to acknowledge the contribution from Erica & Wayne Kneipp from Canberra who have a holiday house in Dalmeny and Erica's brother Jason Bremner from San Diego USA with a Plaque of Appreciation who made a significant donation which allowed the brigade to purchase a Generator, Radios and branches. We truly appreciate your generous donation many thanks Dalmeny Kianga Brigade.

18.01.2022 An early morning callout. A tree has fallen still burning from the fires. This guys is why the roads are still closed still not safe out there.

18.01.2022 When we get the newbies from ours and neighboring brigades to come as one to do a morning of training. Well done guys.

16.01.2022 While this Coronavirus puts a hold on our normal training better to be safe than take down our valuable older members. The newbies are still training to pass the BF course not far down the track. From all the rfs members here please be kind to each other like you all were when the fires were around us. Panic and the craziness doesn’t help at this time. Spreading love and kindness will.

16.01.2022 This beautiful member Cecilia is leaving to spread her wings in Spain for a year. She was a pleasure to work beside over the last 2 years and this monster fire season. She was the first one on the truck and never complained about doing anything. She will be sadly missed and we wish her all the best and travel safely.

15.01.2022 Our 25 year old Nissan Patrol has been replace with a new Toyota Land-cruiser. Will be sad to see it go after all the work it has seen us through. But will not lie the brigade members will be over the moon with the new one. Thanks to the members that gave their time on Wednesday to get the old girl washed and detailed to hand her back.

15.01.2022 Has been a busy couple of days. Yesterday helping the SES up the bay with falling trees. Pager goes off again last night more falling trees on the Hwy. Then thanks to the crew we helped National Parks dig out the closed lake this afternoon. Hopefully this will save our fire shed and the houses that back on to it not to flood.

10.01.2022 Fire danger is at Very High today. That doesn’t mean we need to panic at all but if you see smoke don’t hesitate to call 000. We would prefer to go to a false alarm than a fire taking hold which was not called in. Have a great day guys.

09.01.2022 Come on down to the Nata oval for the car boot sale and say hi to us friendly bunch.

07.01.2022 Sandra Doyle from the NAROOMA Community Choir delivers a token of the choir members’ gratitude for all the sacrifices these brave women and men made to keep us safe during such an horrendous Fire season. The choir thought the Trivia night proceeds from the hardworking International QUOTA club NAROOMA’s night should be used to assist those who have worked so hard for the community

05.01.2022 This is why hero’s don’t always wear capes. Here are some of our hero’s that put our community first through them unforgettable fires. Nsw Premier Gladys Berejiklian awarded the Bushfire Emergency Citation Awards for all their hard work. Is nice to be appropriated the recognition but these guys do what they do because they care about our community.

01.01.2022 Another training day done and dusted. The training officers need a huge pat on the back. I know the newbies appreciate all the hands-on learning these guys give them.
