25.01.2022 Look what arrived last night! Mandi is such a clever girl! All looking happy and chubby this morning. We hope this continues! Xx

24.01.2022 A little bit of play time.

23.01.2022 Hi Everyone, sorry there has been a lack of posts but some very sad news, Mandi became quite unwell after the birth and through that 2 of the babies have been struggling to survive. We are sorry to say that we lost the little light girl this morning, the other little blue girl is not out of the woods yet but she is now putting on some weight and being quite feisty. So we are hoping she continues to fight. Mandi is recovering and her 4 other babies at this stage are big fat round bundles of fluff. At the moment things are on hold. Regards Penny

21.01.2022 Feeding time at the zoo. Lola's kittens at three weeks

21.01.2022 Mandi is taking the roll of 'auntie' to Lola's kittens very seriously. I'm sure she thinks they are hers :)

21.01.2022 Sapphire and Minh have both had their kittens, but just four between them! Sapphire had just one, and Minh three. All boys ... three blue and one lilac. They are getting along beautifully together, and Sapphire would happily claim them all. :)

20.01.2022 And then some quiet time!

19.01.2022 Hi, we would like to announce the safe arrival of Lola's 5 beautiful kittens on the 2nd of October. Starting in the very early hours of the morning. Lola is being an amazing mum and the kittens are doing well. At this stage we are still unsure of the sexes, it is either 1 or 2 girls and the rest boys and colours........ oh well I will know in a few weeks. All I can say is that they will be either lilac or chocolate. Penny

19.01.2022 Mandi's kittens at 3.5 weeks. 1 lilac girl, 1 blue girl, 2 brown girls, 2 brown boys.

16.01.2022 We are incredibly sad to say goodbye tonight to our old boy, Toby. We've loved every minute of this cruisy, laid back old cat's sixteen and a half years with us. What a huge hole he leaves in our hearts. Sleep well, Damali Toblerone.

15.01.2022 Mandi's kittens go to their new homes this week. Some peace in the house for a bit. But, our old faithfuls will keep us company. Our old blue girl, Djindi, will be fifteen this year, and chocolate boy, Toby, is almost seventeen. Still looking good :)

15.01.2022 Mandy's kittens ... not long to go now :)

14.01.2022 Lola's latest litter - 2 blue girls, 1 blue boy and 1 chocolate(?) boy. Lola will be retired after this litter and we are keeping one girl for breeding. We've had a huge number of enquiries about the others, and we're working through the list to place them.

13.01.2022 Mandi's kittens are coming along beautifully. Almost four weeks old.

13.01.2022 Not very elegant, but she's a good Mum.

13.01.2022 Our little blue girl is doing well. She's smaller than her siblings but coming along nicely. Kittens are not the most photogenic at this age :)

12.01.2022 At Damali Burmese, we support SAFE CAT, SAFE WILDLIFE, a program run by safecat.org.au in conjunction with Zoos Victoria and the RSPCA. To protect our precious wildlife, and for your cats safety, we strongly suggest that your cat be kept indoors or in a secure cat run. If your cat is roaming outdoors it will hunt. Thats what cats do. Its not their fault, its their nature. They may not have brought a bird home to you, but theyll hunt birds, possums, lizards or frogs an...d other wildlife. If your cat is roaming it is at risk of disease, injury from cars, unsavoury people, snakes or other cats. So please, keep your cats confined.
