24.01.2022 Hello Bushrangers! Thank you all for attending the AGM and windup today. I hope you all had an enjoyable day. Well, who would have thought 6 months ago that we would've had a season. The truth is, WAFC were only days away from cancelling the thing before the government relaxed the restrictions. Since July athletes from DJFC have played 66-odd games of junior footy and 10 Auskick sessions. I am extremely proud to report that I received ZERO reports of bad behaviour from othe...r clubs about players, coaches or spectators representing DJFC. Thank you to the legend that is Jono Ryan. A great bloke and a wonderful person. I'm glad to know you and you did a great job today. Thank you also goes to Darlington Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade for letting the kids spray some hoses and filling the Dunk Tank with freezing water. I leave you in the very capable hands of Brodie Della and his committee for 2021. Congratulations to John "Paxy" Paxman on his Life Membership. John is and will always be an asset to this wonderful family club. All of his team love and respect him, players and parents. 20.01.2022 Hello Bushrangers! This weekend we have a couple of raffles. On Saturday we will raffle off some local products proudly donated by Earnshaw Real Estate. https://earnshaws.com.au/... On Saturday and Sunday you can buy raffle tickets for a trailer of fire wood proudly donated by Hills Fresh in Mundaring. http://www.hillsfreshwa.com.au/ Both tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5! The Earnshaw raffle will be drawn at 10.15am on Saturday. The Hills Fresh raffle will be drawn at 2.30pm on Sunday. You can find the tickets at the pavilion all weekend! 19.01.2022 Darlington JFC are seeking someone to take on the role of Chief Line Marking Officer. The role contains various levels of responsibility including ensuring the battery is charged, the paint ends up on the grass and overseeing and disciplining the blades that think they've got away "scot-free". For just a few short hours every 3 weeks, incentives include, potential pizza dates if you want to attend committee meetings, and invitation to a committee dinner that Heath normally o...rganises and satisfaction of seeing your work appreciated by the masses every Saturday and Sunday. 19.01.2022 Hello Bushrangers! I would like to share some positive news below from our Year 3 Whites coach after today's game. "Today’s game between Kalamunda Black and Darlington White was simply an uplifting experience and showcased the importance of junior sport in developing kids into active productive individuals. In a game where no one was scoring it was tense and exciting to the end. There were great marks, fantastic goals and some excellent sportsmanship. Kids from either side s...howed concern when someone got hurt but played hard and didn’t back down from the contest. Parents were supporting there team but clapped when someone from the opposition did something well. I would like to thank Ash, his parents and the Kalamunda JFC for providing us with a brilliant Sunday morning. I have been coaching sport for a very long time and today reminded me why I do it. I can’t wait to play Ash and his side again. How good is it that junior sport is back. 16.01.2022 Darlington JFC is in dire need of an Auskick Coordinator for 2021. The position is fulfilling and empowering but without a coordinator the club may not be able to run the program at all. The person who volunteers will be supported by the entire committee and will have all resources available to them in order to successfully deliver the program as we have done in the past. The club requires this position and cannot function without it. If you have ever thought about giving back to your community and being more involved with your children's sport, please let me know ASAP via [email protected]
