24.01.2022 I know the supermarket is one of the only places we can go at the moment but for me it's always a pleasure! You see, my local IGA always plays the best music. I was eyeballing some frozen pies the other day and this song came on and I couldn't help but start singing and grooving along with it. I found out it was Ben Harper's "Steal My Kisses From You". It's a terrible film clip but Ben sings great and looks mighty fine (sigh!) and I groove around my home to it now! Somethings got to keep away from those pies!

15.01.2022 I posted this song on Mother's Day last month but I'm posting it again today in honour of George Floyd's Mum. The photo of George and his Mum has really affected me and I can't imagine what she must be feeling. I read that her family is a Godly one so I know that there's a real hope for George. I hope and pray that he's in a better place.
15.01.2022 About ten years ago I heard a very powerful sermon by Reverend Milton while visiting St.John's Anglican Church in Wishart, Brisbane about spending some time considering what Jesus endured at the cross. I think it was from Hebrews 12:3-4 "For consider Him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin." It made such an impression on me that I came home and wrot...e "Jesus Has Won The Victory". The tune and the words sounded so familiar to me that I thought I must have heard it on the radio but I've run it by a few people and no one thinks they've heard it anywhere. In my mind, I imagine it sung by a wonderful choir of highly skilled singers. I am so grateful to Jesus for what He endured on the cross. For what He endured for all of us this Easter season... JESUS HAS WON THE VICTORY VERSE 1 Came to earth was flesh and blood Expression of His Father's love Crying out lost sheep were we He came to win the victory VERSE 2 Holy Spirit lit upon His Father's voice, "My dearly loved Son" Tempted in the wilderness But Jesus was victorious CHORUS Jesus has won the victory He has won the victory Jesus has won the victory Won the victory for me! 07.01.2022 Happy Mother's Day to all the Mums out there who's child or children are in Heaven. Here's a song I wrote called "He's Being Your Mum". The process of writing of the song was truly a healing journey for me. I hope it brings you comfort.
04.01.2022 My Dad and I had a difficult relationship. Actually, we were estranged for years. I was living in London when I was 25 and he rang and said he was coming over on business for three weeks. Something in me decided to put aside all our differences and to just be warm towards him when he arrived. Well, we had a GREAT three weeks together. Trips to the theatre, lunches, the gallery, Hyde Park and dinners with friends. My beloved Grandmother joined us for a time as well. It... was one of the highlights of my life. As he we were saying our goodbyes he hugged me and said, "I love you and I'm very proud of you". This reconciliation really was a miracle. As I watched him being driven off in a black cab towards Heathrow Airport I felt something ominous. I resolved to get back to Australia as soon as possible. About 10 weeks after I arrived home he fell very ill and died from food poisoning. He was 53. I was devastated. I thank God I put aside my grievances towards him. We could not have a had a more fun, joyful and peaceful time. This photo is how I remember him. Strong, fit and with a movie star smile. See more
