15.01.2022 NOT ALL DECKS ARE BUILT LIKE THIS DECK PROTECTOR .... an umbrella for your critical deck substructure We use Deck Protector, guaranteed to increase the life of your Joists and Bearers.... The exposed Joists will have absorbed a small degree of the water droplets shown sitting on the protected Joists, and premature ageing begins.

02.01.2022 Here is a simple solution to a problem with Trees growing through Decks. At William Road Kinder, the deck was profiled close to the buttress of the tree and lo and behold before too long the deck has twisted and distorted as the tree grows wider, causing a trip hazard to the children at the Kinder. A replacement Deck was built over the top of the existing, including planter style enclosures around the trees filled with stones, allowing the trees to expand freely without touching the Deck Frame and distorting it further. Thanks to everyone on the working bee who helped inc, Arch Fotheringham, Paul Mara and Adam Adkin and especially David Cocking and Brett Lowing who stayed to the bitter end to see it all done before Kinder restarted.
