25.01.2022 Last week Diamond Road Picasso was awarded Australian National Bronze Champion Part Arabian Entire. Not only was it his first show, it was his first time in an undercover arena, and even his first ride on a float! He did so well and we are super proud of him. Sired by Elganan El Adien from Diamond Road Blond Ambition. Thanks to Viv Bugeja and Kristy Parringtonfor everything. Photo by Glenys Lilley

22.01.2022 We are offering this amazing boy to an amazing home. Diamond Road Picasso is a rising two-year-old colt, who may also be available as a gelding after his breeding duties are fulfilled this season. Shown once for a Bronze Australian Champion Part Arabian Entire (all ages) in 2020, he is aired by the Polish stallion Elganan El Adien and from the Ray of Light daughter Diamond Road Blond Ambition. He is amongst the best we have bred. We adore him, however we cannot keep any more stallions. He has movement to burn, he could be the next superstar.

21.01.2022 Well although I have had surprisingly little spare time during covid, I have found a little time to create a new website. It is still a work in progress, so if I have forgotten your horse that we have bred or made a little mistake here and there, be kind haha...I will get to it. :) https://www.diamondroadarabians.com

20.01.2022 DR Peridot is loving life getting ready for her cross country career. Here she is teaching her son how to pony last week, what a lovely looking pair they make. Im told in the paddock that she is still not that into him...to be fair, what Mum does want their teenage son around them though

19.01.2022 Naajmir (Ajman Moniscione x Sabtah Nahlah). Proudly bred and owned in partnership with Victoria Park Arabians. #arabianhorse #stallion #arabian #arab #horsesofinstagram #horse

19.01.2022 Wonderful news from the East Coast Arabian Championships, where Diamond Road bred horses have taken out not one, but two Triple Crown Championships. Much-loved palomino Wishlist (Ray of Light x Escarda Spozobella) and the equally revered buckskin Diamond Road Abrax (Shaklas Eclipse x Amakis Imprevu), each were awarded Champion at the State Titles, Nationals and now East Coast Championships...meaning they each take out the Triple Crown. Wishlists Championships were under sa...ddle, and Abraxs were at Halter. Throughout the year, they have been competiting with each other, each often coming Reserve to the other. We are beyond thrilled with their achievements and so happy and proud to be associated with them. Of course all the priase and congratulations should be showered upon their magnificent owners, Kristy Parrington and Viv Bugeja...two of the best in the biz.

18.01.2022 It is always a wonderful feeling as a breeder when a foal that you have bred and raised finds the perfect home. Even moreso when you have lost track of that foal after he was sold on from the people you sent him to, and his new owners get in touch to tell you how wonderful he is! Diamond Road Miami (Ray of Light x Kie-Al Tiara) now calls Darwin home, and by the looks of it, he is having a great time! I will always remember Miami as he had the most exquisite head...good to see he is a whole lot more than that as well. Beauty, braun and brains! Thank you so much for the photos @Amie Hunt they are treasured.

17.01.2022 How time flies. Happy 13th Birthday Adana Al Nadira. I still think of her as one of the young mares! Adana is the first purebred foal bred by us, and we feel like we hit the jackpot with her. Sired by Afrikah ERA from Naasama BGA (Amir El Shaklan x Naadya), she was the first foal from her mother in nearly a decade, and of course a beautiful grey filly...just what we ordered. Thank you Ben and Myra Kelly for letting me have Naasama all that time ago, and for becoming such gre...at friends along the way. Somehow Adana managed to get through her early years as I learned about breeding, and she grew into a glorious mare of nearly 15.2hh. We have had a lot of fun riding in the bush, I probably should have tried endurance with her...but we all know how busy life gets. Adana has had three foals, the most well-known being the Victorian Classic and NSW State Titles Champion Mare Giselle V, owned by Tanya Hosking. Should Adana never have another foal again, her contribution to the breed is assured through this one daughter. Adana is not on my list to breed this year...perhaps that list may get a little bit longer. I am going to be very busy - eek.

17.01.2022 What a lovely report from our local paper on Diamond Road bred horses doing so well at East Coast.

16.01.2022 Khaled Ibn Naajmir (Naajmir x Ibtehag Albadeia) having a training lesson with the fab Jess Wilson. I am just so thrilled with how he is growing. The first son of Naajmir, and the last son of our beautiful Ibtehag Albadeia...you have him looking so well Christina Mcmahon

15.01.2022 Amongst all the horror of recent fires, we did have one small miracle which brought some happiness to our farm. Our NYE baby - a gorgeous colt by Australian Champion Vesuvio (Azteq LBA x Valouria) from Nira (Naavah x Clifton Park Neeka). Interestingly, in these first two generations of his pedigree, four of the six horses are Australian Champions, one is a QLD State Titles Champion Mare and Australian Championships Top Ten, and his dear old mother ha snever been shown. Quite a pedigree really...and if you go further back, there are even more champions. One to watch. Be careful out there everyone.

12.01.2022 The first Ray of Light filly for the season has been born, a gorgeous palomino from Westlake Burlesque. She is bred and owned by Brandyhollow Park, and is the third Ray of Light filly bred by the stud. The first two are thievery well performed Top Model and Super Model. Congratulations Summa!

12.01.2022 Just scrolling and found this photo of one of last seasons fillies, and thought I might share. She is a grey by Vesuvio from Palma (Ecaho x Pilica) and we have retained her. She was in and getting ready for the 2020 show season, but is now enjoying being a paddock monster. New photos in the spring

10.01.2022 How wonderful! We were lucky enough to lease from Lusia Abbott a beautiful Monogramm daughter named Emmocja. She gave us a delightful filly by Naajmir. We love this bloodline, the movement and large dark eyes are very special.

10.01.2022 Going through some old photos, and found this one of the gorgeous Sabtah Nahlah (WN Dasjmir x Clifton Park Nefisa). I remember this day so well...Nahlah, her mother Nefisa (Nile x Nazelle) and Matarah (Naavah x Nahlas Mahabbah) were out for the day. It was spring, a perfect day and the daisies were popping through the grass as if they were purposefully placed there to accentuate the mares. I didnt mean to take photos that day, it just happened. I remember my favourite photo... was taken of Matarah that day...she was always a tricky horse to photograph. I have lost several horses over the years, like all of us, however I feel the loss of Nefisa and Nahlah so very strongly. So many regrets...mostly about not breeding them some years, thinking I had all the time in the world. I look forward to my current you fillies growing up into fine grey mares like these, and my life will be complete again :)

09.01.2022 A huge congratulations to Catherine Smith of Allumba Stud on the birth of this beautiful palomino colt by Vesuvio (Azteq LBA x Valouria) this morning from Miss Light Up The Night. This colt is extra special to us as Miss Light Up is sired by Ray of Light, and was so beautiful that we purchased her for ourselves. She is currently on lease to Catherine.

09.01.2022 Ray of Light will be available at stud this season. As we have done before, we are offering a special of five breedings at the reduced rate of $1000 (non-dilute mares only, handling fee to be charged for live cover) if booked and paid before August 1, 2020. Step into the winners circle with Ray of Light, available live cover and chilled semen (preferred).

08.01.2022 Amakis Imprevu...these days she is our eldest lady and of course youngest daughter of Amakis Golden Imp. 24 years old. #buckskin #arabian #horse #horsesofinstagram #arabianhorse

08.01.2022 Spring is certainly springing, and so too are the foals. Congratulations to Espirit on the birth of this lovely colt by Ray of Light from the grand old broodmare Perestroika.

07.01.2022 Today was a good day. Natalie Lyons visited with her gelding Diamond Road Valentino (Vesuvio x DR Peridot), and while he was here we had a little impromptu photo shoot with him. We then decided to pull his mother Diamond Road Peridot out of the paddock, and do the same for her! It was so much fun that we decided that Peridot could go home with her son for a few months, and try her hoof at Eventing with Natalie over the winter. If nothing else, it will be great for Dottis figure :)

06.01.2022 Khaled Ibn Naajmir (Naajmir x Ibtehag Albadeia) - Looking very promising for this show season, just stunning Christina Mcmahon Jess Wilson

04.01.2022 Just getting on top of East Coast results, and check out this incredible pairing! 04.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who enquired. I am pleased too say that Picasso has been sold (PP) to a most wonderful home, I could not be happier. Congratulations! :)

04.01.2022 It has been an absolute pleasure having Simeon Saadik (Simeon Sadik x MB Sahamenna) visiting with us these past few months. We cannot wait times his babies next season. His journey continues next back to Dural, then the sky is the limit for this wonderful horse. What a gentleman! Thank you Nicholas Fry, you are almost as wonderful as your horse haha and you have a big future together

04.01.2022 Naajmir (Ajman Moniscione x Sabtah Nahlah) having a little fun today. This CP Nefisa grandson is so beautiful, we just love him.

02.01.2022 Still getting on top of my East Coast results posts. This lovely boy Diamond Road Heart of Fire (Ray of Light x Badet BGA) was awarded Champion Part Arabian Stallion, and Reserve Champion Partbred Exhibit (to his cousin Diamond Road Abrax). Congratulations Susan Allfrey you do an amazing job with your horses. Photo by Glenys Lilley

01.01.2022 Nilo (Simeon Sahron x Sabtah Nahlah) attended the very muddy Glenn Innes Show on the weekend, coming home with First Led Galloway Hack 14hh not exceeding 14.2hh, First Purebred Arabian Gelding and Champion Purebred. In Ridden events he was First in Maiden Hack, second in Novice Hack, first Ridden Purebred Arabian Gelding and Champion Ridden Arabian.... In between all this he found time to snooze, and have his photo taken with Adam Marshall MP Agriculture Minister and Western NSW Northern Tablelands. Congratulations Ellen Louise you two are a wonderful team!

01.01.2022 Seems like the whole of Sydney is getting into the Mardi Gras Spirit! So we thought Picasso should too...with a bath and a pamper in preparation for his own debut dance around the ring next week. Viv Bugeja
