15.01.2022 IMPORTANT PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING OUR BRANCH SHOWS IN APRIL AND MAY In consideration of C-19 and recent announcements by State and Federal Governments pertaining to non-essential public gatherings and group activities, the Board of Dilutes Australia Ltd has decided to postpone all DA Ltd shows scheduled for APRIL until further notice. ... The shows affected by this decision are the Queensland and South Australian Branches’ Youngstock Shows. Both were being held on April 19th. At this stage, we hope the branches will be able to run them later in the year. All shows scheduled for MAY have been put on notice and a decision about their ‘fate’ will be made in early April when we will hopefully have more information about what is happening re C-19 at that point. The shows that will be affected by this decision are the ACT/NSW Branch’s Autumn Show on May 3rd and the Western Australian Branch’s Bibs N Booties on May 10th. Shows scheduled from June onwards will likewise be reviewed closer to those times as the C-19 situation unfolds. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and for disappointing those who were still planning to attend these shows but the risks involved for attendees and the company far outweigh the benefits. UPDATE - the ACT/NSW Branch has advised that their Autumn Show on May 3rd has been cancelled. UPDATE - the QLD Branch has advised that they are booking Sunday 19th July at Laidley for their All Breeds Youngstock Show.

13.01.2022 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR OUR MEMBERS IN NORTHERN NEW SOUTH WALES We are always looking for ways to improve our service to our members. Because we cover all of Australia and the distances involved, we accept that committees whose branch covers a large area find it difficult to provide for all of the members covered by their state.... In recognition of this the Board of Directors have passed a resolution allowing members who reside in Northern New South Wales to choose which branch they want to be listed under: New South Wales or Queensland. If listed under Queensland, then the member will receive show programmes, notices and circulars from the Queensland Branch. The Queensland Branch has added Awards for the NNSW members to the Queensland Branch Awards Catalogue under the title of Northern New South Wales Region. These Awards consist of Annual Awards called Horse of the Year & also Diamond & Prism Awards which are nominated for once only. The branch also envisages holding a Dilute Championships Show in a couple of areas on either side of the range in the future. This will give members the opportunity to compete for the 3 DA Annual National Supreme Champion Awards. Help will be needed for these shows to go ahead. Thank you to the NSW/ACT Branch for getting behind this change. Authorised by David Maclean Board Chair

13.01.2022 OFFICIAL UPDATE: Due to increased public concern, to protect the health of stakeholders and visitors, and in response to the Prime Minister and COAG’s directio...n that any organised mass gathering over 500 people should be cancelled, the 2020 Sydney Royal Easter Show is cancelled. It is distressing and disappointing to cancel the Show for 2020. There are many people who will be very upset by this decision, and this is the first time the Sydney Royal Easter Show has been cancelled because of a public health emergency since the Spanish Flu pandemic in 1919. The safety and well-being of our patrons and visitors is paramount and out of precaution, and in consultation with NSW Health, The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW has decided this is the best course of action. We appreciate that the cancellation of the Show is a huge disappointment for our Show community, particularly exhibitors and visitors from rural and regional NSW who love attending the Show to catch up with friends and celebrate with us every year. We are implementing a number of measures to deal with ticket and entry fee refunds and will be in contact with ticket holders and exhibitors regarding this process within the next five working days. You will find regular updates on the Sydney Royal Easter Show website: https://fal.cn/373Pa We appreciate your understanding and patience as our team works through the logistics and issues that come with cancelling an event of the scale and complexity of the Sydney Royal Easter Show.

10.01.2022 It is with much regret that the DA Qld Branch Committee has today decided to cancel the 2020 Qld All Breeds Youngstock Show which was to go ahead on September 13th. There were many reasons for this decision but COVID-19 & where we would be with it in September was a major part of the decision. The Committee remains determined to hold the Youngstock next year around April and with 5 rings to cover all of those who turn 4 years old in four days as well as the foals born this co...ming breeding season. All pre-entries received will have the entry fees refunded.

09.01.2022 TOOWOOMBA AND WARWICK SHOWS CANCELLED The Royal Agricultural Society of Queensland has confirmed the 2020 Toowoomba Royal Show won't go ahead. Board Chairman, ...Shane Charles says the cancellation could cost them hundreds of thousands of dollars, "it's a nightmare, the last five years we've had three years we've been washed out with rain and we're just getting back on our feet, we were going to have a cracking show we think numbers were up in a whole range of categories, and of course it's rained and the grass is green and now to have to cancel at this late stage we think we're probably going to be in the hole of somewhere in the vicinity of three hundred to four hundred thousand dollars". This weekend's Warwick Show has also been cancelled as the Covid 19 pandemic continues.

09.01.2022 REMINDER: Branch Meeting Sunday 26th 10.30am at 57 Old Toowoomba Rd One Mile.
