05.01.2022 Here is a clip showing "mirror plate welding", also referred to as "hot plate welding". This is a low cost way of joining plastic profiles, extrusions and pipe...s. The PLATE is a fabricated double skinned unit with a Teflon coating. This prevents the plastics from sticking to the plate. Once the extrusion is heated, simply press together with some pressure until cool. A simple jig could be constructed to help align certain profiles more accurately. See more
