13.01.2022 This is a 1950s Florence Raymond couture evening gown. When it came into my possession it was damaged (an understatement). In restoring a piece of vintage, I’m not striving for perfection. What I strive to achieve is a loved but wearable vintage gown that looks amazing for its age. The lace and chiffon I’ve added are new materials but look like they’ve always been there. There is still a small amount of visible damage to the skirt at the back but if I were to cover this I may as well create a new gown. Isn’t she beautiful?

13.01.2022 Late last year I completed not one but three dresses for my gorgeous vintage loving friend for her marriage to her prince. Each dress was vintage inspired. The piece de resistance was the peach pink satin and lace gown which had no less than seven metres in the skirt. No machine stitched hem there, all done by hand... Its such an honour to be trusted with something so special and allows me the pleasure of expressing myself creatively.
